A Weekend Break

We'll be heading to Equatorial Bangi-Putrajaya for a weekend break. It's just a short distance away from our home in Balakong, and we chose the hotel because we didn't want to travel far. (But I kinda miss staying at Renaissance Hotel. I used to know all the staff at the Club Level but after almost two years not staying there, I doubt there are many that I know left there. Kinda miss the "VVIP" service that they gave there. LOL)

Checking in today, but Raimie will only join us after he finish his religious school classes at 5.00pm. So... for a few hours, we get the room for ourselves. Wohoo!

Planning to visit Kampachi Restaurant while we are at the hotel. Expect some photos of us dining at Kampachi posted at Urutora No Hi and some photos of the hotel here.

  2. @Ayie,
    it sure was. Butlers fawning over us and saying how humble we all are. Any requests were made, birthdays and anniversaries were remembered and celebrated by the Club Level staff. Oh gosh... I miss all that. No money to go there nowadays. :(

  6. I've been to Renaissance too. Ooh so spacious and beautifully decorated interior.

    I find it interesting that every Equatorial hotel must have a Kampachi restaurant. Have you noticed that? :)

  8. @Yatie,
    nnt I send e-mail. K?

    @Jim,
    Both wings are nicely decorated, but I love the West Wing much better.
    Have you been in one of the suites? Heavenly, so big and roomy. I wish that's my home. :D

    Interesting about Equatorial and Kampachi. But I don't think Cameron Highland's got one. I'll check it out in June. :)

    @Ayie,
    Thanks! So far it's been nice but Zaini and I do bitch about what we usually get in terms of staff fawning and fussing over us at Renaissance and the staff here at Equatorial! LOL
    That's why we don't change hotel all that much. >_<

  12. We certainly did! Wait for my in-depth review of the hotel soon.

    And the review will show how fussy and how high my expectation can be of a 5 star hotel :D

  14. Was in a deluxe room in Renaissance before and I was already so enjoying it. I can't imagine how a suite would be. The view from the hotel is superb, can see the twin towers very clearly. Maybe's that why they build it there huh? XD

    Yeah one of the wings was much more beautifully decorated than the other and I guess it must be West Wing then. Should rancang to stay there again, can take the rapidKL bus from there to Midvalley, kekeke :)

    There's a Equatorial in Malacca which I went to before, and another Equatorial in KL (forgot where) and both these two have Kampachi. When you mentioned Kampachi in Equatorial Bangi, it was deja vu. :D

  15. @kenwooi,
    back from our break already. Enjoyed it somewhat. :)

    @Jim,
    West Wing rooms cost more than East Wing so they should be nicer!

    Can also take LRT then take free shuttle bus to MidValley if you want to take LRT. Though I kinda enjoyed taking the bus too.
