Fire Drill!

There was a fire drill last week over at the office building I work in. The building management tried to keep the date and time of the fire drill a secret to make sure everyone participated in the drill but we got the whiff of it early.

I'm so not going down 32 floors worth of stairs! So, we went down early and hide for a bit at McD and only joined the office people at the assembly area in time for the headcount. Naughty, naughty!

Because of the fire drill, no work was done for the better part of the morning. I don't mind since I don't have anything urgent or rushing for deadline that day. ^-^

  1. Good planning ;)

And 32 floors up? Can't imagine the climb, if the lifts ever go out!

  2. @sriyany,
I'm not gonna climb that high if the lifts there stopped working. I'll just head straight to the clinic and ask for MC! LOL

  5. Fire drills are necessary to remind people of safety procedures in case of the unexpected.

  8. @Mei Teng,
Yes and the apartment I live in and the Mid Valley area never fail to have it every single year. And in Mid Valley - there's literally one fire drill each month to accomodate all the buildings and malls. @.@

  9. @foon,
Walking down 32 floors' worth of stairs that has no view? Too clautrophobic for me! And the crowd that will be coming down?

I'll just climb up the 15 floors to my FIL house and feel proud of it. LOL

  14. @SK,
For old staff like me, we've been through this year-in, year-out. Same building, same exit point. So I don't want to climb down the stairs every year owh! @.@

Anyway, like I told my Floor Warden, if there's fire,I want a helicopter come rescue me from 32nd floor. LOL
