I Like Them Big

Dole banana, Cavendish banana and Mas banana (pisang mas). Which would be your pick? Pisang mas is too small for me. I'd need a lot of them to be satisfied. Cavendish banana is OK but my favourite is the Dole banana. They are much more expensive than other bananas such as Berangan, Montel or the Phillipine's premium banana but I buy them regardless.

Now, when I was talking about my bananas preferences to my colleagues, why are they snickering? Heh heh

  3. I prefer Cavendish coz it's not too big yet not too small - even as I'm saying this, it just sounds wrong ;)

  13. @SK,
Very observant of you. No, of course not fresh. I bought that bananas on Monday and took photo of it on Thursday. xD BTW, when I bought it, the skin is nice and flawless, with a tinge of green some more. ^^

But yes, the riper they are, the more delicious they are to me. Lagi sweet. :)

I don't used to eat them but I started eating bananas more and more when I started going to gym. I need the energy from a light snack before going to the gym so early in the morning.

  14. I like them sweet... we get only South American bananas and very commercial ones over here. Ikind of miss the Philippine ones.. we have lots of variety over there...

  15. Yep, I like big bananas too :) I buy Dole. Problem is it spoils too fast. I buy the little ones for my toddler, those finger sized bananas although she can finish a big one or two as well :)

  16. @jellybelly,
They do spoil fast don't they. I usually just buy enough to last a couple of days and visit the supermarket again in the next few days to stock up.

The small ones are just nice for a toddler's tummy. :)

  18. I don't really like to eat bananas raw like that.. I like when it's blended and drink the juice.. Add some whipped cream maybe, yums! Something like Coffee Bean's Malibu Dream make me go crazy!
