11th Day Of Puasa

Good news when we arrived home after work. There's water in the tap! Running water! Wooohooo!!! Hope it'll lasts though. Sucks if the tap go dry again tomorrow.

The first thing Zaini asked me after checking the tap - "do you want to go out for a run today?" ahahah I wish I can but today is rest day. Heels (both of them) are killing me. Actually thye've been killing me for the past few weeks. @.@ Even after taking NSAID to help with the pain, it's not completely gone.

Raimie seems more chirpy and talkative than usual when he finished his Asar prayer at the neighbourhood surau so I guess he has gotten the hang of puasa. *clap clap*
Buka puasa was Nasi Kerabu for both Zaini and I. Zaini had it with fried chicken and I had it with beef rendang. Yes Rurousha, the rice is blue. The rice's colour blue is not from artificial colouring but rather from a flower, Bunga Talang (blue pea flower).

Raimie had his usual - nasi lemak with ayam goreng berempah and crysanthemum tea. That boy and his nasi lemak. Ish ish

If there's still running water tomorrow morning, I think I'll try do a 7K before sahur. Wish me luck!

  3. We had blue rice when we were in Malaysia, when we were in the north in Kota Bahru. It was so delicious, we still talk about it as one of our favourite ever meals. Mmmmmmm. I didn't know that flowers made it blue though, so I'm learning today!!

And hurrah about the water, and well done Raimie!

My dad is still confuse of these 2 letters, for example, lalio (radio), lolly (lorry), lobot (robot) and labbit (rabbit) :p

My son picks up his pronunciation *shake head*

  6. Question - where will you run before sahur..? I've tried running just before berbuka (masa puasa ganti) tapi bulan Ramadhan ni belum cuba lagi (timing!). Maybe I should try much earlier, morning. Tapi lari kat gym la, bukak 730am..I saspen la kalau terserempak dengan anjing ekeke

    ReplyDelete

    1. Keliling carpark aje. ^^

A run before buka puasa is great to test your endurance. Plus, I noticed that timing wise - it does not greatly affected by the fact that we puasa. :)

Kat sini pun ada anjing, that's why the neighbour aci always walk out with a big umbrella. ;p

      Delete
    2. Actually my neighbourhood is fenced up with one entry/entrance during off peak hours so pak guard tu memang boleh control la kalau anjing nak cuba2 masuk :P...but ada incline sikit tu yg I saspen haha..
Anyway I forgot gym opens 9am during Ramadhan. Hmmm
Oh about 'timing' I was referring those busy 2++hours just before berbuka..meal preparation etc, hubby pun kadang2 lambat balik so no one to stay home with kids. Takpe insyaAllah lepas2 ni ada chance :)

    2. That blue rice is very popular at Subang Jaya Empire's Serai restaurant. Always packed and quite costly because all the food there is VERY GOOD!

  11. lina, you want to wake up to run before sahur. This is the thing I can't do. I must sleep like baby for 7 hours at least. I can go without food, but I can't lead a normal life when lacking sleep.

    1. My sleep - 7 hours is already a luxury. 8 hours, I get a headache. xD

I woke up at 3.30am today but after thinking a bit, I decided it's nicer to be under my blanket and only woke up at 4.30am. Too late to run as I'm cooking today! ;p
