I Like "Mat Salleh" Breakfast

sometimes... but I don't usually opt for a breakfast if we stay in a hotel unless it's on club level. Can't really stand the din, early in the morning at the buffet area. Usually it's breakfast in the room. Unless of course, it was Le Meridien. kakaka... Gosh, I wish I can stay there longer.

Anyway, at the "discounted hotel" that we are staying  (will be checking-out Sunday. Boo!) we decided to try and sit down at the restaurant and enjoy the breakfast buffet. Note to self - go down earlier tomorrow to escape the loud, middle age, government servant'ish, talk about multi-million dollar projects crowd. Good thing there is no tourist groups of any nationality at the hotel! Fussy, aren't I? I certainly am fussy about my peace and quiet.
Breakfast from two hotels. See - no nasi lemak, fried mee, roti canai or tosai for us. Bread rule! Gosh, I'm making me hungry.

100-Plus in the second photo because well, I just did 21K and head straight to breakfast that day. Staff still smiled at me and didn't turn up their noses at the lady soaked in sweat barging to their classy club lounge to eat! LOL

    1. I actually avoid breakfast buffet if I know the crowd will be big, the place noisy & busy.

I like peace & quiet while eating breakfast so most times, I'll opt to eat in the room. ;p

  5. place continental breakfast and local breakfast in front of me, for sure i will choose the former and totally ignore the latter..

  10. come to buffet, i think i love buffet breakfast the most!! and ramadhan buffet the least, because i always think ramahan buffet is very very very overpriced!! i can spend like 10% of the price to stuff myself enough at the "street buffet" at ramadhan bazaar~~ haha!!

    1. I also think Ramadhan buffet overpriced. At a time when one is supposed to learn and appreciate the act of restraint and suffering, a lot of people decides it's good to stuff themselves with food.

Might as well donate the extra money that they are spending on the buffet to oprhans. :(

    1. I don't need long buffet line, just the essential will do - bread (a whole variety of them), cold cuts, sausages, sauteed vege and I'm happy. ;)

  17. Honestly, I started to change my taste too. Since last year, I stopped booking cheap hotels online after some unpleasant experiences with their shoddy bathrooms and horrible breakfasts. I thought that I should pamper myself with nice rooms, baths and good breakfasts for extra money, rather than thrifty and unhappy! Life is too short. Just enjoy la.

    1. I like your new taste. True. Enjoy! ANd don't grouch about money too much. ;)

We are the same too. Anyway, since I'm fussy; we usually are loyal to a few hotels and don't stay at hotels we are not used with. Too much trouble if something not meeting my standard.
