A Cert With A Photo

I received this certificate of completion for a run I did in November today in the mail.
I posted about the run here.

It's rather nice to have a cert with a photo, don't you agree? Even with a bad timing like mine! huhuhu

  1. yes definitely it looks better with a photo, more personalized and proves that it's really your cert..

    1. but provided that the photo they took is nice also lah... I hate my KL-Marathon 2012 finishing photo so I never bother to get the cert printed with the photo! LOL

    2. this photo looks good mah.. the winning moment with that signature v-sign pose, but slightly imperfect without the bunny ears..

    3. hahaha... bunny ear sure cannot fit inside this photo la... small frame only. wakaka

p.s. do you know that you can search for a photo of thousands at Standard Chartered KL Marathon just by entering bib number or your cap colour or shirt colour and the system will narrow down the photos for you to look at? Love that feature. :)

    4. It is true..
You feel very happy when you see your face in it.. like what SK did in his daily prize win out..

    5. Betul, betul, betul! I feel happy when I received my card from SK with my face on it :D

    6. Me too! SK made me happy with his card.

      SK,
For 2013 winners, maybe can do a certificate pulak? Certificate of accomplishment for relentless spamming. :)

  2. I think the organizer did a great job to capture each and everyone, and tag them with the name.. with such a huge event and overwhelming crowd, chances to make mistakes are high..

    1. or did you actually submitted your photo during registration?? haha..

    2. In their guide, they reminded all runners to make sure bib number can be easily seen when running especially towards the finish line for easy identification purpose.

I guess that's why the organiser needed 4 months to get the cert out. ;)

    3. Hallow... the photo was taken at the finish line la. ;p

    4. oh yeah the bib is your ID!! it's fine they took 4 months, there's a lot of things to do I guess.. at least you got it personalized and arrived at your doorstep..

    5. So imagine if a male ran using a female bib (in case of replacement) and the cert will come out with totally wrong match. xD

Yup, personalised. Wish I had ran a better ran and showed a better timing though. This one, buat malu saja. huhuhu

    6. Buat malu ka? Takde la. This earless bunny so cute and energetic at the end of the run. Still can pose with V-sign and smiled broadly,

    7. Have to la, Ah Hua.

Otherwise, photo will turn ugly. Lagi malu. ;)

  5. Wow..first time nampak cert ada gambar. I'm that amateur-ish, yup. Hehe
Reading your CICM race recap again, I felt some sort of short-breath-ness, again, (yes even while reading it) sebab you kata ada banyak inclines. Fuhh.

    1. Hahaha... I tau pun lepas tu. Itu pun sbb baca Ray & Deo punya last year recap. Tengok cert which they received 6mths later and there's a photo. ;p

The inclines aren't steep Millie. But they're looooooong. So you rasa macam, bila lah nak habis ni. Unlike Putrajaya, it's undulating, Ada naik, ada rata & ada turun. Much more bearable for me. ;)

Tahun ni jom CICM. The organiser is good. Marshalls are awesome. Makan pun best. Only thing route can be panas and boring....

    1. Yakin boleh Bett! Tahun ni jom wat rombongan gi sana jom.

Cheap race. (No timing chip, so sendiri buat timing sblm cert keluar) tapi habis dia bagi placing card.

      Marshalls are great.

Makan lagi GREAT lepas tu! Muahaha

    2. BOLEH plan .. tapi actual tatau.. hehee.. bes jgk kan.. mcm bermakna habis bile dpt cert bergambar ni.. something different!

      Delete
    3. Plan saja... execution belakang kira. LOL

I like the cert. Tapi dekat 4 bulan jugak tunggu dapat.

But one thing, even though takde timing chip, timin yang ada kat cert tu sama dengan timing on my Timex. Meaning, they do take timing... manually. & for every runners!
