The Indulgent Parents

It's the school holiday. Year-end school holiday.

Son has no structured holiday activities. No holiday camps enrolled. No motivation camps or anything of the sort.

Mommy and Daddy do try to make sure he does something productive during this school holiday. But then, Mommy and Daddy aren't that serious making him do "useful" stuff.

He gets to play with his computer a LOT, I'm ashamed to admit.
Though sometimes Mommy tried to make him do other stuff. Like drawing. He likes to draw. ^^
Mommy and Daddy even allowed him to play this.

Once a week. One time. One play. Twice, if it's a treat.

We are too darn relaxed with our child, I know. Ah well...

  1. relax parents!! it's school holidays and it's meant to be a break for the kids.. so why need to torture them and give them stress?? let them enjoy the break, as long as it's not something that would hurt themselves, let them go~~ :p

  2. i always believe that if you pull a rubber band too much, it will break.. though flexible yet there is still a limit, we would just relax and not go too far.. and also like flying the kite, sometimes you pull a bit and sometimes you let go, only then the kite will soar higher.. and i think our Mak Glam surely buy-in this~~ :)

  7. During my time, holiday classes or motivation camps were unheard of. It was climbing trees, playing kites or balik ke Negara Siam. These days business minded classes clever to milk the kiasu parents la. Mak Glam sure has the best ways to let him relax and rejuvenate. We all survived well without frills.

  12. I heard the Kidzania is ideal for kids to experience and learn new things, even can act so many dream jobs too... But sure expensive one hor... Hehee... Been longing to go there but too old already hahaa... I was surprised upon seeing the entrance fee for a kid aged 4-17, it's RM60, while for adult aged 18-59, it's just RM35! @.@

    1. It's"cheap" for adults because the adults are to accompany kids, not try out the"jobs" there! :-P

    2. Hahaa.. can the adults try out the dream jobs too? I didnt have this opportunity when I was a little kid... My parents couldn't afford to bring us around back then...
