Makan-Makan & Run In Taiping

We visited Taiping for a 2D 1N trip last week, to run in the "King Of Bukit Larut" event; a 21K uphill/downhill run there.

Had wanted to go out and try out the marvelous food there but as we were pressed for time, just managed a couple of makan outing and after the race, cendol plus nasi lemak provided by the event organiser.

Next year, we'll do at least a 3D2N trip there and enjoy more food!
I was eyeing this hand-drawn menu...
tempted to order but in the end didn't, but this fella did! *envy*
This was an early evening dinner.

Second round was later; at the same place - the Belakang Bomba food court, with fellow GC runners who went for the event too (my fellow King and Queens, I might add) ^^
The "Royals" gone incognito. Hahaha

And then, feasting on cendol and nasi lemak after a 10.5K run uphill and another 10.5K downhill the next day.
and this time, the Royals went all out! LOL

  1. 10.5km up and 10.5km down, huh! Hebat la, lina.

Salute you and all other runners for the spirit in hiking up Bukit Larut.

I only dare to run 8.5 km on my treadmill, i believe is my most intensive record for another 3 more months.

  12. That's really a tough run only for the Kings & Queens! I regret that my legs are not in perfect condition for such events otherwise I would take up the challenge. Even when I climbed up the China's mountains, I had to limb and pause so many times far behind wifey. At least I tried.
