BOH Highlands Run, Anyone?

What to do when one visits Cameron Highlands? The usual would be :
1. Visit BOH Tea plantation
2. Hikes/jungle walks
3. Farm visits for fresh strawberries, veges, butterflies, honeys, cactus, etc ^^
4. Steamboats! Makan!
5. Visit night markets and markets. Makan some more! LOL

How about going out for a run and donning a mad hat while at it too? Yeah, something different for those planning for a visit to Cameron Highlands  in September and it's joining BOH Highlands Run!
Fun right, going out for a trail run in BOH Tea plantation in Sg Palas? I likeeeee the idea.

Just nice for a trip after both me & Zaini's birthdays and also after Son finishes his UPSR exam.

Time to chill! The interesting thing is, there will be a tea party (or light refreshments served) after the run. Hope there'll be tea and scones with strawberry jam! ;-)

The last time we visited Cameron Highlands and drove up all the way to Boh Tea Centre in Sg Palas was way back in 2009. Such a long time already!!!

Anyway, the registration for BOH Highlands Run is open from Monday, Jul 21st onwards, with only 500 slots available for those interested (50 slots for fans of BOH Tea FB page to pre-register. More info BOH Tea FB page). I'm definitely joining and putting the family up at Copthorne Hotel nearby. You can register for the run at http://www.myraceonline.com/ (click here for details of the run).

It's a 5K trail run with a fun theme for families to enjoy. Nothing too technical judging by these photos...

So nice la to run here and see the rolling hills filled with tea trees. A plus is that it's Cameron Highlands so sure is more cooling than running in KL!

Must. selfie. along. the. route. Bwahaha
On the morning on the run, I plan to use a shuttle bus provided by the official hotels (Copthorne Hotel and Hotel Titiwangsa) to get to this BOH Tea Centre which is the start/finish line of the run. Much easier than navigating through the tight road by car ourselves... ^^

A mad-hatter tea-party themed run, so am looking forward to see runners (apart from us) donning their best, craziest, wackiest, funnest hats they have and joining this event with the whole family.

But hmmmm... what should I wear? What shoukd I wear?

I wonder if Mad Hatter will grace the event? Kids would love that. I'll be happy if Johnny Depp came! Hehehe

Before I forgot, proceeds from the BOH Highlands run will be channelled to Malaysian Nature Society for their environmental project in Cameron Highlands. Coolness!

Don't forget to register! See you on the trail at Sg Palas on Sep 28th. ^^
