Ochazuke - At Home

Just random food posting, triggered by a comment over at Sk's blog about ochazuke.
Hihihi

Ready-made ochazuke, supermarket bought.
Lazy to brew green tea, I just poured hot water.
And because I am Malaysian, I need an extra kick so some kimchii for a side dish.
Perfect for lazy days.

    1. Cannnnn... you can put anything as topping and then cut some seaweed too. Posh restaurant would have uni on it, for instance. :-)

Try not only green tea. Dashi or miso soup also works for me but it'll taste saltier lah. :P

Yes, I googled this morning before spamming at semut's blog and understood about this interesting food! I am sure it tasted like what I ate when a kiddo when my maid always poured clear soup over my mixed rice. It has sweet memories for me but didn't know it could be called ochazuke! My maid was not a Japanese... kikikiki

    1. Well, of course your maid wouldn't call it ochazuke la... like teriyaki chicken is something we'd call ayam masak kicap. LOL
