Dinner For Two, At Ori Udon

Daddy had to work late last week on Friday and instead of heading to our usual Friday hangout at Bangsar Village, Mommy and Son "lepak" ed at Gardens Mall instead.

At  first we thought of going to Ko Hyang for dinner but the tables that were empty wasn't comfy to enjoy dinner and the place was a tad too crowded so we looked for another place. Just a few steps away and we decided to have our dinner at Ori Udon.
Ample seating and widely spaced, it is definitely much more comfy here.

We've had dinner here before, so we knew that the food here ain't bad. Not up to Japanese standard good, but quite good compared to udons that are served in Malaysia, with the same range of price. The choices are aplenty too.
Son ordered the chicken udon set (Set 2) which came with a plate of fried chicken and a bowl of udon.

Ori Udon's fried chicken is great! Soft, moist and juicy. It's a delight to eat them, especially with the accompanying dip. Yum yum.
While Mommy chose Set 3, the beef udon. It came with a plate of edamame.

The udon is a bit soft and not as chewy as I'd wanted it but still passable. With the beef strips and egg in the bowl with the udon, it is a very filling meal.

All sets came with a side dish and green tes (refillable).  For RM14.90 and RM15.90 for each set, it's great value, in my opinion.

It helped too that the ambiance is good and the staff efficient and friendly.
Let's start eating!
Burp.

Instead of traversing the mall while waiting for Daddy, we headed to the Borders so that Son can read a bit.
While Mommy finish up some assignments that she needed to submit before the weekend is over.

And we lepaked at the Starbucks there, read/work while sipping Starbucks Peppermint Mocha.

It was raining outside and sure was nice to enjoy a hot drink while working/reading.
