A Dinner Treat At Miyagi Bangi

Those who have read my blog for years would kinda know that I love going to Miyagi Japanese Restaurant in Bangi, even before the restaurant was featured on TV3; in Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan hosted by Maria Tunku Sabri.

You know its good when the restaurant is patronised by Japanese themselves - those working around the Bangi area.

And this is probably one of few Japanese restaurants in Malaysia I will give my thumbs up.

No - don't talk to me about all those kaiten-zushi places. I turn my nose on Sushi King, Sushi Tei and the likes. Even Sushi Zanmai in Malaysia can't meet my standard let alone what I've eaten at Sushi Zanmai in Japan. Some places are nice, but their price makes my nose bleed and the portion is too dainty.

Yeah, yeah. I'm a snob. Muahaha

Anyways, the evening before hubby and I were to explore Putrajaya on foot for 10-hours (I've blogged about it here), we decided to give ourselves a treat first. ^^

Nothing special though. Instead of choosing from the ala-carte menu or the day's special; we just went for the teishoku (set) meal. I tell you, Miyagi's teishoku is a bargain! The prices are reasonable and the portion BIG!
Son had the tempura set this time. RM28.00
I went for the teppanyaki set. RM36.00
And hubby chose the beef teppanyaki set. RM33.00

Green tea is free and these set come with free desserts too. ^^

With only 10% service charge and no government tax (at the moment), this place has got to be one of the most affordable Japanese restaurant we went to.

We sure were full by the time we finished and the next day kinda burn all the calories consumed with our stroll. Hahaha

Since this is not a food review (paid or otherwise), I can't be bothered sharing with you the address. Google them up lah, if you wanna go. *evil laugh*

  3. Bangi, sounds like too far for me. Wait a minute, actually not that far, just right next to Putrajaya right?
I do agree the price is a bargain, most teishoku I see in the higher end restaurants go for around RM50!

There are the sets that cost more, especially with sashimi but wait till you see & try their sashimi. :)

  10. I was informed this place is no longer there. Did they relocate elsewhere? Would you mind sharing the new Miyagi location, if you know. Thanks.
