Free Meals At IKEA

Well, sort of.

It's actually IKEA's "Eat Your Way to a Discount" promotion, which is ongoing from July 8th - 31st, 2016.

We could set off RM50 from our home furnishing purchases of above RM400 when we dine at IKEA's restaurants and spend RM50. It's got to be transaction on the same day though.

Ngam ngam pulak we had planned to stop by IKEA during the Raya holiday to buy some furniture for Son's room. Need to update the boys' room lah... Teenager already.

IKEA Cheras was our choice since it was nearer to our home.
We got there early in the morning and first order of business - enjoyed the RM4 breakfast of French toast, two sausages and baked beans. With coffee, of course.

Pretty decent breakfast too.

Afterwards, energised by the breakfast; we trawled IKEA. Trying stuff (and suddenly feeling like we need a new sofa to replace our 13-year old Tomellila IKEA sofa) before deciding on the stuff we're purchasing.

By then, it was already noon and time for lunch!

We bought three main dishes to be shared.
 Meatballs, of course.
BBQ Beef Ribs. Quite nice especially with the price tag of only RM26.90.
Salmon with Lemon and Dill sauce. Light and yummy.
With the RM60.80 receipt of our lunch at the restaurant, with our tummy happily filled, we made our way to pick up Son's furniture.
A wardrobe, a study table and a swivel chair for the Son. Plus some rugs too.
RM50 deducted from our total bill, by showing the restaurant receipt.

Syioklah!

We probably should visit IKEA again by July 31st, for our next round of shopping to enjoy the promo. It's like shopping with a free meal thrown in. BARGAIN!

    1. Well, it's not strictly a free meal lah. Hahaha

But if one spends at least RM50 at the restaurant, one can get the same discount for funriture purchases..
I spent RM60, so still ada excess RM10 kena bayar! LOL
