Juadah Silka At Silka Maytower Kuala Lumpur

The Holy month of Ramadan is approaching soon and apart from observing the fasting month, there will be lots of preparations to be done for the holy month of Ramadan and to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri too.

One of the activities to do during Ramadan month is a get-together with family, friends and even colleagues for iftar or buka puasa.
Thanks to Silka Maytower Kuala Lumpur, we were able to preview and sample what they have to offer for buka puasa.

I must say, the vicinity of Silka Maytower Kuala Lumpur Hotel which is located right smack in the bustling shopping area of Masjid India and where most of our Hari Raya shopping will be done, makes it convenient and ideal for our buka puasa stop after a full day of shopping. Much better yet, stay the night at the hotel too!
Furthermore, the affordable price of their Juadah Silka buffet dinner that features traditional kampung-style Malay cuisine is quite attractive too.

Tuck into a delicious buffet spread featuring a selection of traditional Malay dishes specially prepared by Chef Mohd Fazi bin Ramli (Chef Fazi), Silka Maytower Kuala Lumpur's executive chef.

The mouth watering delights that we enjoyed:
Nasi Kabsab Kambing with salsa sauce, lemon, onion and mint leaf yoghurt
Ayam masak kawah
Asam pedas ekor
Asam pedas ikan pari
Gulai darat daging tetel
Pecal
The grill section with choices of rosemary marinated lamb cutlet, barbecued marinated chicken thigh and black pepper marinated beef. And of course, there's sate too!
And of course, desserts which is an assortment of traditional kueh such as tepung pelita, sago gula melaka, cek mek molek, bingka ubi, kuih ketayap, talam keladi and also cakes.

There are also deep-fried snacks such as pisang goreng, sukun goreng and keledek goreng with sambal kicap as condiment.

To quench our thirst, we had plenty to choose from, from hot drinks such as teh tarik to cold delights such as sugar cane juice, air mata kuching, sirap bandung and soya bean. 
My plate of udang sambal petai, kari kepala ikan merah, puyuh goreng rempah and kerabu udang with mango for my first round that night.

  2. uiks...so cheap. Thought usually buffet like this is around rm100. Very good offering of dishes too
