A Weekend In Melaka
In February we decided to splurge a bit and booked a night's stay at Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur. An early Valentine's celebration of sorts, with the family.
What clinched the deal in going to Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur was this offer which is available quite some time now.
For RM388 onwards (depending on the date you're going), it's really a steal with another night stay at Majestic Melaka thrown in the offer. Majestic Melaka mahal, you know. LOLCatch is of course, you have to go on weekdays lah. So we went to Melaka and check-in to Majestic Melaka on Sunday.
I can't say there's anything special with Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur. I suppose we chose the wrong date to go and there a long, slow queue when we checked-in at Kuala Lumpur.
BUT the experience at Majestic Hotel Melaka was GREAT!
We were served lychee black tea with some biscuits before being ushered to our room.
Anyways, this Majestic Voyage offer is still ongoing until 30 June, so if you want to do a staycation in KL and planning to visit Melaka anytime soon, this may be a great deal.
We actually were in Melaka for 3D2N and it's mostly cafe hopping and jalan-jalan Banda Hilir sorts of weekend for two.Places we visited:
Saturday
1. Bok Keopi - a newly opened book cafe located next to Mahkota Parade.
2. Aroma Caffeine in Tanjung Kling. There's a great view of paddy field just a few meters from this cafe.
3. Seafarer Restaurant where we enjoyed an early Peranakan food dinner with a seaview.
4. A 12,000 steps walk after 9pm around Banda Hilir + Jonker Walk to see Melaka's nightlife.
Sunday
1. A 4K walk around Banda Hilir before breakfast.
2. Lunch at Eat at 18.
3. Check-in to Majestic Hotel Melaka.
4. Dinner at Nasi Lemak Wan Loyah in Kampung Morten.
Monday
1. Brunch at Backlane Cafe.
2. Coffee at a coffee shop/roastery at The Coffee Jar.
All in all, it was a great weekend for us.
So...
Where to next?
