A Christmas Charity Foot Race Around Imperial Palace, Tokyo

For those planning their vacation in Tokyo or its neighbouring area in  mid-December 2016, there's a private charity running event that will held at the Imperial Palace jogging course on Dec 18th, 2016.
Registration is still open for foreign participants and from what I read on the website, it will be open for registration until race day. (Correct me if I'm wrong).
The categories available for registration: 5K (Men & Women) 2,100 yen registration fee 15K (Men & Women) 2,100 yen registration fee 5K+15K (Men & Women) 3,200 yen registration fee

The estimated runners to be joining will be around 100-499 participants.
It's a chance to run, meet other runners and enjoy the feeling of a race while also be a part in contributing to a worthwhile charity.
This is a charity run and part …

A PB Dinner At Plan B

I've always wanted to eat at Plan B again as it had been ages since we last went there. Well, felt like ages but Hubby and I actually went there for brunch to celebrate my getting a 5th placing at Jog 4 Hope 10K in August! Muahahaha But really, it had been ages since we visited Plan B in Bangsar Village for dinner and it was so long, menu changed also I dunno. LOL

The two boys chose their meal from the normal menu while I decided to take advantage of the Makan Malam promo to get free desserts. Our meal started with the Nacho Everyday Salad (with smoked salmon). I had been hankering for some salmon but I told myself I needed a PB in my run to enjoy them.

Well, running at a 4:44min/km pace during a relay run counts as a PB, right? And our team bagged 2nd placing too!

So let the salmon bingeing begins! Hahaha Son had the spaghetti meatball.
Hubby chose the Yeezus Royale (whatever that means)...
Hubby actually complained that I was being greedy when I ordered not only the salad but…

Having Fun At Herbalife Nutrition Day 5K Fun Run

It was 4 days ago when I received an invite from Herbalife to join them at the Herbalife Nutrition Day 5K Fun Run. Just after I told Hubby that we won't need to wake early for any races for the balance of the year. Hahaha
Herbalife Nutrition Day 5K Fun Run was held on Saturday, Nov 26th 2016 simultaneously in several states, apart from Kuala Lumpur. Other states that held the run were Penang, Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu, Sabah and Sarawak.
The Kuala Lumpur edition was held at Taman Botani Perdana (Lake Garden).
Another run will be held in Ipoh, Perak on Dec 4th, 2016. It was a rather low-key event but with a respectable turnout from Herbalife members and agents.
There were two categories available; A for Individual with registration fee of RM45 and B for family at RM140 (2 adults, 2 child) so this is a great event to bring the family to join.  At the starting line. Individual runners were flagged off first, followed by the family category. A water station was located at around K…

Japanese Friends, Nasi Lemak And Village Park

A month after our trip to Chiba in October, we had arranged to meet someone from Japan in Kuala Lumpur. We met Shin-chan (the one in green shirt) last month and ran the Imperial Palace jogging course together where he and a friend had graciously showed me around the course. We later had dinner together and Shin-chan, Hubby and I agreed to meet up in Kuala Lumpur when he was in transit in KL after returning from Borobudur Marathon in Indonesia which he did last Sunday.

Shin-chan of Shin-Chan Running Club had done plenty of marathons around the world and had done more than 130 marathons outside Japan! He had done Borneo International Marathon 4 (FOUR) times and we hope that he will try marathons in Semenanjung Malaysia one day.

His feats can be followed at his website, Shin-chan-run. To cut a long story short (I have yet written/blogged about our dinner gathering)... We went for a nasi lemak breakfast at Village Park Restaurant in Damansara Uptown.
Our Japanese guests ordered the Nasi …

Miyagi To Celebrate

I've been wanting to go to Miyagi, our favourite Japanese restaurant  which is located in Bangi for ages but I told myself that I needed a good reason to celebrate there.
I finally got my chance after running in the MRCA Charity Run Relay. The celebration wasn't because our team; Team Asam Pedas managed to bag 2nd placing but because I ran at a 4:44 min pace! That is an achievement for me!

The two boys had beef teppanyaki this time.
I wanted to eat sashimi but I also wanted to eat something else so the Yakiniku to Sashimi set is the perfect choice me. The sashimi were good and literally melted in my mouth. I've already eaten one piece of the sashimi before I took this photo. LOL
I was glad to finally be able to enjoy this upon completing an achievement as it tasted much sweeter.
Don't you agree?

• Andy McLiesh cleared off to win Moto 1 and Moto 2. • Gabit Saleh increases both Open International and Asian Class points lead.
Watched on by 30,000 spectators, Andy McLiesh capitalised on his pole position to win Moto 1 and 2 in Round 3 of the FIM Asia Supermoto Championship.
The Australian had been riding steadily throughout the weekend, trailing Gabit in terms of lap times in the practice sessions before turning it up a notch to cement his grip on the pole position after Final Qualifying and Super Chrono sessions.
The Bayanihan Park Track had been laid out over a public recreational park and part of a taxi depot. The surfaces of the “tarmac” section were therefore rough concrete (the taxi stop part) and fine concrete on two basketball courts, punctuated by strips of grassy dividers. The “dirt” section on the other hand, was uncut grass. This made the entire track much more slippery than what the riders had faced previously. Besides that, although the track covered a l…

A 2nd Spot Finish In Team Relay At MRCA Charity Run Team Relay 2016

It was early this month that a friend asked a few of us to join her and run in a relay at MRCA Charity Run Team Relay event.
I kept quiet during the discussion, fully mindful that I had not been able to honour my commitment to run in the Allianz Pacesetter Relay which was held on Nov 5th, 2016. I had to find a replacement runner and thankfully the organiser was gracious enough in accepting the last minute change. So I thought I better not kepoh in another relay run, in case I can't run again. It was just a 900m run where each of the 4-person team member needed to run 900m. Somehow, not only was I to run in the relay; I got roped in as team captain pulak! Hahahadoi.
For the MRCA Charity Run Team Relay, our team ran for Simply Awesome; one of the companies which had donated for the charity run. You might know them better for Nana's Green Tea. ^^
Truth be told, I was a bit hesitant in joining the relay race. It was just 900m and I still need to wake up at 5.00am!!!
Luckily, a fr…

ANGELES CITY, PHILIPPINES, 18 NOVEMBER 2016 – The FIM Asia Supermoto Championship created history last month when the race became the very first international Supermoto event to step foot onto Indonesian soil. This weekend, history in the motorsport is about to be made again as Round 3 of the Championship makes its way into the Philippines which will also host its first ever international Supermoto race. From the picturesque Foreshore Park of Newcastle, Australia to the spirited Kanjuruhan Stadium of Malang, Indonesia; Asia’s best Supermoto riders will convene again for the third time this year at Bayanihan Park in Angeles City to have another go at the podium and hunt for this year’s championship crown.
Known as the entertainment capital of Central Luzon, Angeles City is a highly urbanised city located 80 kilometres north of Manila in the province of Pampanga. Once home to one of the largest United States Air Force Base, Angeles City is now a tou…

From Putrajaya Night Marathon To SJMC Run in Subang

I had two running events that I needed to attend last weekend. It wouldn't have been much of an issue normally but Hubby had to travel to Kuala Kangsar for work, at the Larian Hari Keputeran Sultan Nazrin Shah.
So here I was, with Son in KL with two running events to go to and Hubby was in Perak. Those rare times for me to head to a race without Hubby supporting and waiting for me.
Same thing the next morning after Putrajaya Night Marathon, where I went to Subang Jaya to kepoh-kepoh at SJMC Run at Subang Jaya Medical Centre. Friends joined the race so I go also lah. LOL
By the way, for those running 10K at SJMC. results can be found here:

With Hubby out-of-town, travelling to Putrajaya can be a bit of a pain. There are public transport but it's just not that straightforward. Huhuhu

Luckily, there's UBER and Grabcar and they are quite aplenty in Putrajaya. My ride from my house to Putrajaya.

A very friendl…

A Wet Fun Night At Bukit Cinta

It was a rare occasion for me to run at Bukit Cinta in the evening on a working weekday but last Thursday was an exception.
A friend wanted to run there on Thursday after work and I decided to join her. I kinda miss running there. I used to go there once a week in the morning before work, to run either around Bukit Cinta or doing track workout at the stadium before it was closed for upgrading.
So I waited for Thursday excitedly. We were supposed to start at around 6.15pm but I got held up at the office and only managed to arrive at 6.40pm!
Sorry Aiza! We only managed to do a loop of 5km. Barely into our 2nd km, rain suddenly poured and poured down hard. We had no choice other than to just continue our run back to where our cars were parked. Everyone was drenched!
We decided to stop after the one loop because there was thunder and lightning too and it would be dangerous to continue running. I don't mind running in the rain but not with lightning!
It was sure a nice run and a good…
