Something Hot For The Tummy At Ko Hyang

All these wet evenings sure made me hanker for something hot for my tummy.
With all the rain pouring around the time people leave after finishing work, travelling home meant facing traffic jam.
On Thursday, we decided we'd just have dinner at Gardens Mall before heading home and went to Ko Hyang.  I ordered the usual - Soon DuBu Jigae.
 Son had the Bulgogi Bokem.
And Hubby had the Tuk Bokki.
After dinner, we went to McDonald's and bought a cup of cappuccino and latte. There was a promo for app users for RM0.99 for latte and a 50% discount for cappuccino.
Nice to get to drink cheap coffee once in a while.

A Trail Around Putrajaya In Ecotrail Putrajaya

Ecotrail Putrajaya is a trail run set in the heart of Putrajaya. Participants had the chance to explore both urban trails and forest trails around this iconic city.

Hubby and I joined the 30K category in EcoTrail Putrajaya on Saturday. With its very generous 8 hours cut-of-time, we planned from very early to just enjoy the route by walking and that was exactly what we did that day! And it's perfectly fine if others made fun of us merely walking, because we were only doing what we want to do and enjoyed the route our way.

We also had fun checking out the race route these past two weeks, following the map that the organiser had provided. You can check out the blog post here:
Checking Out The Eco Trail Putrajaya Route Part 1

But on the eleventh hour, the organiser informed us that there was some changes in the race route which involved part of Taman Wetland and Taman Rimba Alam. Ah well... At least we didn't end up running an extra…

Dinner At Streat Thai, Jaya One

Son had a part-time job after school one Friday evening at Jaya One so I went there after work to meet him & Hubby.
We decided to have dinner at Streat Thai as Son has been hankering for a Pad Krapow. We're boycotting our neighbourhood tomyam shop at the moment, as there are way too many smokers there (what happen to the no-smoking ban at food outlets anyway???).
Anyhoo... Son and I ordered the beef pad krapow whic unfortunately, had lost much of its heat nowadays. I guess to cater for diners who can't eat spicy food. For our vege, I ordered somtam with fried ikan bilis.
Just look at the generous serving of ikan bilis on my papaya salad! They were so yummy too! Plus, with passable heat to satisfy my need for pedas food. Hubby doesn't eat a big dinner so he ordered the fried egg salad. And drank just plain water.
I ordered lychee ice tea while Son had Thai Balck Coffee-O.
It was a satisfying dinner and afterwards, we went jalan-jalan around Jaya One and I even managed…

Crab Feast At Golden Valley, Melawati Mall

If you noticed, we've been having fun taking and sharing videos lately.
That's because, a kind person had given us a GoPro7 for our use and as a way to thank him, we made sure we use the GoPro7 well.
If you read our previous post, we had dinner at Golden Valley last Saturday. Golden Valley serves Malaysian Chinese Cuisine and Seafood and they have an outlet recently opened at Melawati Mall.
Anyhoo, enjoy this video of us eating a very sedap, big crab!

Halal Malaysian Chinese Cuisine And Seafood At Golden Valley

Golden Valley has a new outlet at Melawati Mall, and the outlet just had its grand opening recently in September.
We were there on a wet Saturday evening. Hubby and I were feeling quite famished as we had done our 18K LSD along the Ecotrail Putrajaya route earlier in the morning.
But first, let's see Hubby's intro on the restaurant.

Teaser first. Hehehe

The restaurant became quite busy with endless stream of diners after Isya'. We arrived before 8pm when it wasn't full yet.

So, what did we ordered?
The dish that we've been quite excited to try and even made a reservation for it.
For perspective purpose. That is one HUGE CRAB!

Their crab is specially air-flown from Indonesia and is priced at RM16/100gm. Each crab weigh around 600 - 800gm.

I was informed by the staff that the crabs are flown-in twice a week. The staff told us, there are regular customers who will come and order four crabs per sitting! And there were also disappointed customers who couldn't get t…

Checking Out Eco Trail Putrajaya Route - Part 2

We had another LSD session following the Eco Trail Putrajaya route on Saturday. You can read the first part of it here.
We started our walk from Taman Botani, Putrajaya again, and to get to where we had made a u-turn last time  and it took us about 4K. It's always nice to past this area and look at the birds that are resting here.
If you visit Taman Wetland, you do get to see plenty of birds flying about, so do enjoy them when you run in the Eco Trail Putrajaya. As one of the largest man-made freshwater wetlands in the tropics, the Taman Wetland Putrajaya is made up of the Wetlands Park (138 hectares) and the wetland areas (1,977 hectares). It is recognised by UNESCO as an Ecohydrology Demonstration Site, a place where researchers can observe the interactions between water and the ecosystems. The wetlands has a high rate of biodiversity due to its unique ecosystem.
Due to its surroundings, more than 100 species have been spotted around the Wetlands Park, making it a great place f…

A View Of KL Skyline

A few weekends ago, Hubby and I had the opportunity to see base jumpers jumping from a building at a not-to-be-disclosed location in Kuala Lumpur.
From Wikipedia: BASE jumping, also sometimes written as B.A.S.E. jumping, is wingsuit flying from a fixed structure.
"BASE" is an acronym that stands for four categories of fixed objects from which one can jump: building, antenna, span, and earth (cliff). Due to the lower altitudes of the jumps, BASE jumping is significantly more dangerous than skydiving from a plane. Base jumpers preparing for their jump.
For the jump, we went up to the 53rd floor of a building which has a field nearby for the base jumpers to land on after their jump. And we were able to witness a great 360 degrees of KL city view from there. Thank God the haze went away and we were able to see the blue skies.
KL concrete view. Pretty awesome too, although the Twin Towers are somewhat hidden. And base jumpers doing their jump. Would you dare to do it yourself?

We decided to try out Harley's Burgers & Roasters in Cyberjaya and head there for dinner, feeling ready to eat a whole cow even. Hehe
