A Lazy Weekend - Dining In
It was sure nice getting room service and not cooking! Mommy says Yeay! LOL
And one of the highlights of staying in a hotel. Not the hotel buffet but having the luxury of eating dinner in the comfort of our own room. I like... ^^ Raimie sure loves it too!
Raimie and Zaini had a huge BBQ burger for dinner.
and I, alarmed at my weight gain despite the workout I've done; tried to be a tad healthy by ordering a Caesar salad with grilled tuna and a spicy vegetable stew. But because of doing nothing for two days, the few kgs that I've lost earlier in the week went packing back in. Sob sob.
It's not all luxury dining though. For lunch on Sunday, we went out to a nearby Pasar Tani (farmers' market) and bought Nasi Ambeng for lunch. Eating them while sitting at the balcony of our hotel room after a nice swim at the pool was really awesome.
What a wonderful w/e it must have been.. And the weather has been most cooperative, hasn't it like it made a pact with you. haha.. Nice photos.
ReplyDelete@HappySurfer,
ReplyDeleteIt was a relaxing weekend. And yes, weather cooperated with us too. ^^
wow, at first i thought that burger is really huge!! bigger than raimie's head even, haha!! :D
ReplyDeletehaha, never worry about those extra kgs lah, it will gone very soon.. just enjoy yourself without guilt.. :p
ReplyDeleteit doesn't have to be luxury dining, but i guess able to dine together with your loved ones is already luxury.. agree??
ReplyDelete@SK,
ReplyDeleteHahaha... imagine eating a burger bigger than your head. o.O
Indeed, being able to be with our loved ones is already a luxury and a blessing. ^^
How come you are gaining weight despite working out? Must be either you ate more than usual or your metabolic rate had slowed down.
ReplyDeleteYes it's nice to eat in the luxury of your room : )
ReplyDelete@foong,
ReplyDeleteGuess metabolism slowed down - old already. sob sob
I guess I did not work as hard as I used to, with PT at the gym. :(
That's a big burger, but looks really good!!
ReplyDelete@Japan Australia,
ReplyDeleteThe patties were a bit overdone, but still good. And big! :)
wow, you had me swallowing my salivas scrolling through the page! don't worry too much of the weight gain n lost issue, it is only acceptable that you enjoy once in a while. it's nothing too much to ask for. the point is being healthy n happy, wasn't it? ;)
ReplyDeleteUsually hotels always give plenty of food to its customers. But did you wait long for the food to arrive at your room?
ReplyDelete@levian,
ReplyDeletehow true. ^^
But I should be back on the treadmill this weekend. No more lazy days! XD
@Willie,
ReplyDeleteThe food arrives less than 30 minutes after I made my call to order. That's what I like about hotels with less rooms compared to those with 900 or so rooms. :)
definitely nice to dine in.
ReplyDeleteI have yet have any Nasi Ambeng before, it sounds interesting to me!
ReplyDelete@wenn,
ReplyDeleteIt definitely is! :)
@Alice,
ReplyDeleteIt's a Jawa dish. You have chicken (masak merah/kicap), rice, coconut sambal, fried beehoon/mee, tempe & salted fish in one dish. If in a kenduri, this dish will be served on a "dulang"/tray and be eaten shared amongst the guest.
Very interesting dish, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDelete@Alice,
ReplyDeleteYes, it is an interesting dish. And a delicious one too! ^^
