Fancy Conquering Bukit Larut On Foot?

Bukit Larut (or formerly called Maxwell Hill) happens to be the oldest hill resort in Malaysia. Located 1,250metres above sea level, it also receives the highest rainfall in Malaysia.

It boasts of untouched beauty (this is no Genting Highlands, OK).

This is the place that; on April 20, 2014 will see participants running uphill to the hilltop station and downhill to complete 21km through narrow, winding road with magnificent view of a tropical jungle.

Sounds interesting? You bet!

A trip in one of the Land Rovers is available for visitors at a fee and will take around 30minutes.
How long does it take for us to run uphill and downhill Bukit Larut, if we are to do this? hehehe

Cut-off time for King of Bukit Larut is 5 hours. That should tell you that this is by no means just another half marathon or similar event.
So... if you are visiting Taiping near the date and you itch for some adventure and are fit to do this, why not sign-up for King of Bukit Larut? Registration is already open and early-bird rate ends on Feb 28.

For us? Sign-up to run or sign-up to "kacau" other runners. Decisions, decisions.

  1. The last time I was up Bukit Larut was 18 years ago. It was a field trip during my lower 6. The night view from the top of the Bukit over Taiping is magnificent! Btw, I think we went up with the Land Rover but walked down from the top. Great experience!
Anyway I have no plan for this race :p

    1. It is. I read somewhere that it was initially planned for two categories; 21K and 50K but feedback from experienced runners made the organiser re-think the 50K and just do 21K this year.

      Thanks 小影! :-)
