16th Day Of Puasa

Nothing much happened on the homefront this Sunday.

Sahur was at McD because that's what Raimie wanted. We were worried that he might not get enough sleep over the weekend so we forbade him to stay up after sahur and we switched-off all lights and told him to be up after 8am earliest. That naughty boy woke up and showed me the time later, at 7.59am! Ish ish
He spent the day either staring at his netbook (and playing computer games) or making a mess in his room with whatever project he is doing. He refused to do any revision, citing he's too hungry to study. tsk tsk

We went to Presint 2 Putrajaya for a picnic yesterday and Zaini suggested another picnic today. Of course, both Raimie and I were pretty happy with the suggestion. We got there rather early, at around 4.30pm. Bought our food and then took Raimie to a wading pool there at Presint 2. I don't think a lot of people even know the existence of this wading pool as it is located at a rather secluded area. We stumbled upon it while doing a recce for my running routes sometime back.

Raimie got to play around at the wading pool with Daddy watching over him while Mommy went for her run. Same route as yesterday but as we went out really early today, Mommy was able to take her time running, clean-up and even rested for more than 40 minutes before buka puasa.

There are toilets available around the area and shower facilities too! All free!
Our buka puasa. Nasi lemak sambal udang & sambal ikan masin, soya bean drink and of course... tau foo fah!

Yeah, someone will win and the other will lose. Part of the game. But it would be great if we win. Regardless, he put up a good fight.

Sad to see his face afterwards. So dejected.

    7. True, I didn't feel sad until I saw his expression. He isn't an actor, he looks so sad, I pity him.

    3. Quite safe ler... no visitors but there's a security presence somewhere... and CCTV in Putrajaya actually works plus there a tower where tourists (in tour groups) and avid photographers always stop by to take photo of the Masjid Putra nearby.

That nasi lemak. No, just sambal & ikan masin & normal boiled eggs. ;p

    3. It's good for endurance training - running with an empty tank. ;p

Better running that just mooching around doing nothing. Like that lagi suffer waiting for buka puasa time! ;p

  6. That wading pool looks fun to play. I really didn't know it exists. Remember I was even in the corporate video clip to promote Putrajaya before it was built. I just merepek over the video ads not knowing what they wanted to build. I only guessed that it would be like Washington DC.
Anyway, I suddenly thought we have picnic and all mandi in that wading pool. Let SP demo how he ahem ahem and tembak with those water guns. Kakakakakakaka

  7. You run BEFORE you break your fast? You mean ... you run after not having had water for several hours, and without having water while you're running? o_0

If I misunderstand fasting/running rules, gomen!, but Twilight Man is right: you're Hercules!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Running before is actually easier than running after... say 1 hour after breaking fast. I rather run empty but with lots of time than run with a full tank, all sloshing in my tummy and with less time. ;p

No no no... I'm not a Hercules. You should know that my running pace was a tortoise's pace. xD

    1. Got facilities there. Free some more.

But Meow, it's a small wading pool only lah... Much smaller than KLCC's.

If you wanna go there purposely for that, there's another pool which is much more popular in Putrajaya. This one, if you happen to visit Putrajaya, or go the the government complex in Presint 2, then maybe can drop by there and play with water.

  9. A free-entrance and free-of-crowd wading pool? That's cool for these hot hot days!

    2. The lakeside in Presint 2 & 4 are quite popular. The two days I ran there, I saw a lot of families buka puasa picnic style. Some more got two big mosques nearby so easy to go pray after that.
