First Week Of School
is over. Just 3 days of school for the first week. Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.
Easy week? Classes started already. Students got their textbooks at the end of school-term last year and Raimie received his timetable on the first day of school. By the second day, there're homeworks that needed to be done and with warning of "dire consequences" for unfinished ones from the teachers!
Not that Raimie is anything but stressed-out yet. This boy always takes thing easy, just like his "lazy" mommy. Life needs to be enjoyed too.
Yup, he still have access to computer, TV and games. As long as homeworks are done. We'll "force" him to go out and breathe in fresh air on weekends, don't worry.
Let's see how we fare next week. ^^
I like the way you bring up your boy. So balanced!
ReplyDeleteBalanced but not very high achieving though. ;)
DeleteYour son also handsome la. Why you don't wanna groom him to be Flower Boy like Ah Hua?
ReplyDeleteNo la... Cannot lawan Ah Hua's flower boy. kakaka
DeleteI remembered that I failed so badly when I was in Primary 1 as my parents thought that I was a slow learner child. By year 5 I was ranking top in class every term until Year 6! After that I started to struggle in secondary school. Like you, I hated school so much.
ReplyDeletenot bad wor....5-6 yrs top of class...me top of class also but from the bottom up :p
DeleteYalah, Anay terer wor. Top of class in Yr 5 & 6.
DeleteSecondary school - having too much fun izit? ;p
here still honeymoon week la..no home work...just go there and play...next week die liao...got chinese writing sure kena again
ReplyDeleteHard work starts next week!
DeleteAll the best to both Mama Kucing and Anak kucing! :)
this mama also lazy.....wanna monitor hoeworks is like getting high blood pressure
ReplyDeleteTrue lah.
DeleteKids got homework, parents can also die of blood pressure. Gila, right? ;p
You have the right idea and so does he! :)
ReplyDeleteWe hope so! :)
DeleteUgh. One more weekend of freedom for this teacher, and then I'll be checking my students' holiday assignments. (Heck, yes, of course I gave them work to do!)
ReplyDeleteIt's a tough life, Raimie, for students and teachers. Ganbarimashou! :D
Checking students' assignments - gambarimasu Sensei Ru! ^^
DeleteIt's good to have balanced lifestyle..
ReplyDeleteI think so too. :)
DeleteMy two girls brought back home only yesterday, the 3rd day of school reopened. They also got their time table on the first day.
ReplyDeleteI kept reminding my youngest, Stardard 1 girl to put her homework in the new pocket of her school bag. I really worry that she may forget to do, and I forget to check, then she kena rotan in school.
ReplyDeleteI reminded my son to put any pending homework jotted down in hos notebook so both him & I can check what is done and what's not.
DeleteBut if he careless and kena punish - that's his fault lah. His responsibility. Padan muka. hohoho
My elder girl took back a Chinese story telling script. Her teacher wants them to start practising as the contest is on March. So, Yannie needs to be very hardworking in training her.
ReplyDeleteBoth Mommy and older daughter will be busy!
DeleteAll the best to both! :)
Don't forget to take a rest and enjoy too. ^^
Usually, jin jin is helping with their revision and exam. I am helping with story telling, singing, and whatsoever competitions.
ReplyDeleteVery balanced. Both parents has their expertise to help both daughters. :)
DeleteYup!!! There is more to life than just study...study..study. So many students these days are like zombies...brain dead and all the fault of their parents, mostly the mums. Most dads tidak apa one, it seems. Tiger moms!!!
ReplyDeleteRaimie mom and dad kucing manja saja with their son. Study a bit. Play a bit. Co-curricular activities a bit. Really not champion material though. heh
DeleteBut STP, if no study study study; how to get all As one. Shameful la nowadays. Everyone wants their children to get As. Lose sleep and study till late night at the "ripe" age of 8 also never mind. No kah? ;p
i thought first few days of school just can relaks lah, but already got homework to do?? oh yeah, i also saw my two nephews doing their homework back home.. tsk tsk tsk, nowadays kids already don't have childhood lah~~
ReplyDeleteNo time to play.
DeleteMust STUDY STUDY STUDY. Get straight A. Score.
Otherwise, parents will complain that teachers play2 doing their work. ;p
good, i just like this Mak Rempinator lah.. the way she bring up the good boy Raimie.. very well balanced that is why he is such a good boy.. we don't have to study and do revision all the time to top the class right?? he is an example..
ReplyDeleteBut then, some say this style not applicable to all students lah.
Deletethis reminds me of my auntie who is a teacher.. way back in primary 3, she just married to my uncle and one day she saw me watching TV.. the next day she complained to my class teacher and get her to "counsel" me.. WTF!!! i pity her kids so much lah actually..
ReplyDeleteKesian SK.
DeleteWah your auntie like that, suer such a fierce teacher at school.
So, did your class teacher actually counselled you ah? o.O
At the age of 9 pulak tu? What's wrong with watching TV anyway? @.@
