Burning And Topping Calories

So I had a trail run on Saturday morning last week.

Burned off like 1500 calories, setting off what I ate earlier for breakfast :
Roti sardin with fish curry. Yeah, this is what I ate before going for a 6-7 hours hike. Fortunately, no toilet stop needed at all. Hihihi

Then, the obligatory nasi lemak stop halfway through the hike, eaten by the river. Heaven, I tell you. ^^
My favourite ice cream during a hot sunny day, and this I enjoyed while descending from the hike. Stopped an ice-cream guy on a motorbike when we were about 1km away from the place we parked our car. 
and what we had while regrouping after the hike. This was my lunch. Maggi mee curry. Been ages since I ate this! And it tasted divine! Hohoho

No wonder lah by 4.30pm I had hunger pangs already and told hubby I needed something for the tummy before it got "masuk angin"
Just a light dinner of two hard-boiled eggs and toasts at Old Town White Coffee to soothe the tummy and tide me over through the night. Can't eat a heavy dinner as I had a 15K at 8.00pm.

Thank goodness I had no issue during the run. Survived without a need for any energy gel and whatnot too (to which Hubby would probably tell me "short run also wanna eat power gel? :P
I usually don't have a big appetite before and after a race so while Hubby and Son enjoyed fried bihun, briyani and all sorts of foo at the hospitality area at Energizer Night Race, I just drank copious amount of air sirap. Muahaha
Found them again at the tent after my run and this was all I had stomach for. ABC. A few bowls of them. After run cannot eat heavy food lah, me. Anyways, thank you Energizer Night Race for the hospitality!
This was Sunday's activity, while kaypohing at AK Balloon Run. I forgot to bring my GPS watch so I just used Endomondo to track my mileage. Under-distance than the 5K but that's because it's only counted up to Menara Atlan instead of all the way back to Avenue K. Hihihi

A mere 200 calories burnt yet I enjoyed another roti sardin with iced coffee for breakfast!

Then off we went to a fellow runner/hiker for a Raya Open house. Finally a proper meal in two days! Finally eat rice and protein! But only ate a plate of food and settled for cups and cups of drinks. 

That's my training and food log for last weekend. Hihihi

  1. hahha...well done! Must reward yourself always for some hard work ! Me too, after a workout I will go for nice meal but also have to watch my meal else all the workout go down the drain... hahah

      But for me it's more for recovery not reward. We need to eat proper to sustain an intense workout. :-)

      I don't count la. But cannot simply eat also. After almost 12hours of exercise, I do need to eat properly because if I don't it won't be healthy. Recovery from muscle soreness, fatigue is dependent on what I eat afterwards also.

    1. I watch calories to ensure no deficit not to lose weight though. I need to eat to ensure that I don't get repleted out of energy when I'm working out. :-)

  10. Wahhh...long time since I last tasted roti sardin! I like! I cannot remember the shop name in Ipoh here which served nice roti-s ... roti pisang, roti telur, roti kaya... roti tissue.. I must go and ask my indian colleagues again... but at least you ran to burn off the roti calories..if I eat, I don't know how to burn them la... they will be stuck with me for life! hahahaa... So everything taste so good after the run, yes?
