About Energizer Night Race 2014

Organized by Energizer Malaysia, together with race organizer, Twenty First Century Sports Sdn Bhd, collaboration partner Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), and sanctioning body Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur Athletic Association (FTKLAA), the Energizer Night Race 2014 is Malaysia’s largest night race with 15,000 runners signed up within three weeks after the launch of its 2014 edition.

The fourth instalment of the Energizer Night Race is set to be the most spectacular night run with each and every runner sporting the signature Energizer 3-LED Headlight to create a ‘River of Light’ at Kuala Lumpur’s iconic Dataran Merdeka on 9th August.

For this year’s night race, Energizer Malaysia is partnering with EPIC Homes for its “Light Up the Dark” initiative. EPIC Homes is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide sustainable homes for the underprivileged communities. Under the partnership, Energizer Malaysia hopes to raise RM180,000 in funding and lighting support to build up homes for Orang Asli in rural Peninsular Malaysia.

The signature global race series first had its beginnings in South Africa in 2007. To date, it has been held in Peru, Philippines, Mexico, and Spain with more than 220,000 runners lacing up their running shoes to help make a positive impact through the Energizer Night Race for a Brighter World.
