My Poor Treadmill

So the treadmill technician came on Saturday. It has been two weeks since my treadmill refused to work, but as I'm only free and at home on Saturday (last Saturday we had to go to Raimie's school), the appointment was only set for last week.

In the time being, I had to settle using the apartment's gym when it's not filled to capacity or if the weather permits, run around the apartment complex a few times at night. Not having my own treadmill to use at my own convenience meant that I have to fix a suitable time to do my running and not simply hop on the treadmill any time I like and it meant no running very very early in the morning or late at night too... (the two times you won't see me running alone outside).
I had hope it was just the belt being worn off or something because that would meant a cheap parts to be replaced but it turned out to be a motor problem which can be expensive! I'm waiting for the quotation now and setting up another appointment for the technician to do the repair.

Buying a new treadmill is not an option to me, not when this one I had cost as much as a Modenas motorbike!

  1. Sorry to hear that!! It is definitely a lot more convenient to do your running at home at a time that suits you.

  5. Aiyooo, I hope it doesn't cost too much. I know how much a treadmill can cost. Wifey and me wanted to get one but almost fainted at the price!

  6. @Japan Australia,
Definitely more convenient and less excuse to run at the comfort of my home. Can't blame the weather to not do my running. ^^

  8. @SK,
I'm still running, just not at home. I've been visiting the apt's gym and running around the carpark for the time being.

  9. @Nick,
I hope so too! Otherwise, might as well chuck that old thing out and learn to use the communal treadmill at my apt's gym. The problem with that of course, there are others who are using it and the opening hours. At home, I can pretty much run on it anytime, even at midnight! XD

  11. @levian,
Still no news from them. I'm quivering with fear now because that must meant hard to get spare parts. XD

Worse come to worse, chuck this old thing into a lombong lah... LOL

  12. I prefer exercising in the outdoors. Walking works for me. I like the feel of fresh air and greenery.

  13. Oooo hope it gets repaired soon. With the blasted weather these days, we're more likely to get struck by lightning if we run outside :P

  14. @Mei Teng,
Outdoors is of course nice but not when there's thunder & lightning! ^^!

And trying to run at least 4 times a week isn't easy for me to just go the the park anytime any day, esp on weekdays. ;p
