Same Style?

I was looking through my old photo album looking for a photo of me in my twenties because I wanted to show someone how I dressed during that time. Didn't find it but I did find this one when I was about 9? 10?

Looking at this particular photo of me; I guessed I dressed pretty much the same before, during and after my teens. Baggy t-shirt and plaid skirt. The only difference in my twenties was, I wore boots (the Doc Martens type) with the outfit.

No wonder Zaini used to refuse to go out with me, what with me wearing such getup! LOL

And if you look at my crazy hair - yeah, still have that crazy hair. That's how my hair looks like now if I don't go and do rebonding twice a year!

Anyway, all cousins in the photo are all now approaching middle-age; just like me, have families of their own and their own career.

  1. Oh, Lina, are you approaching 50? OMG, I've been rude! I've been using words, expressions that might have been rude to use. So sorry. But, I feel that you have a young spirit :)

When you said about rebonding your hair twice a year I imagined that's a very long gap between each rebonding session eheheh. But then I realized... I have not done such thing in my life so I shouldn't think that way :p

    1. That photo was taken in the 1980s, not 1960s! xD

A good rebonding should last 6 months. You don't spend RM500 for something that last a few weeks, do you? I certainly won't!

    2. Ohh! Ahaha sorry!! so sorry for mistaking the age

WOW! the thing costs that expensive?? WOW.
I think you should use a hair iron and do it regularly every week from home instead... although it might be very time consuming. :p

    3. Try be a working mom with a school going child and you'll understand why I rather pay RM500 to have my hair smooth and fuss free rather than ironing it straight every single day. And yes, I do have to iron it every day since I sweat (because I run a lot) and wash my hair often.

I'm already awake at 5.30am on normal days. If I have to iron my hair, I need to be awake at least 1/2 hour earlier. No... I value my sleep too. ;p

    1. Yalar, no more Doc Martens boots now. ^^

But I actually kinda miss wearing them. They are comfy and when I took the bas mini, the boots came handy for stepping on perverts feet! LOL

  6. When did the bare feet and Doc Martins make way for high-heeled boots? :)

Zaini refused to go out with out? That made me grin. I'm beginning to understand why you had to kick fate on the bum! :-p

    1. The military style Doc Martens changed to heeled boots when I got pregnant with Raimie. xD

Oh yeah, Zaini refused to go out with me at first. He said I wore too tight shirts, too short skirts, too short a haircut... I'm guessing it's all excuse. Well, once I decided I'm gonna make him my "soulmate" I didn't take no for an answer even though he flat out old me he wasn't interested in my during our first date.

Pity lil me, right? I "hated" all the guys who gave me their attention and I fell head over heels over a guy who didn't give me any at all.

    2. "The military style Doc Martens changed to heeled boots when I got pregnant with Raimie." Isn't it supposed to be the other way arou ... Never mind. This is Lina. :D

    3. Ahahah. Need to grow up, esp since I was to become a Mommy, that time. Anyway, those boots I wore was comfy! And helped me "accidentally" stepped on rude commuters foot while traveling on trains for the whole 8+ months I carried Raimie. ^^

It wasn't Raimie. It was Zaini who said he wasn't interested in me. Yeah, like I listened to him.

Though since I was pretty much smitten, I really did change the way I dressed drastically. If that isn't love, it's stupidity I say. ;p

  7. Ha! So Raimie didn't inherit your crazy hair genes huh?
Is that a good thing or a bad thing? :D
