I posted beforehand that I usually order pan mee when we eat at Oasis Food Court, which is located on the 2nd floor in Mid Valley Megamall.

One evening, me & son decided to try something different (I wanted to eat some lightly cooked veges truthfully) but didn't want to spend a lot of money so we decided to try and headed to the teppanyai stall there.
Beef teppanyaki for Mommy. The beef cut was nice and tender. The crunchy garlic slices eaten with the beef was a joy.
Nice portion of the bean sprouts, which was what I wanted. Vege!
Son had chicken teppanyaki.
Though I must say, the RM1.30 for a small bowl of miso soup that didn't really taste like miso soup was a bit of letdown.
All in all, a passable meal. Nicea and for RM18.00 for the two teppanyaki plus a miso soup; OK lah...
I love teppanyaki! I usually go for chicken.
ReplyDeleteI like seafood more. Hihihi
DeleteI've been to that Oasis Foodcourt once and had that pan mee once..
ReplyDeletenice teppanyaki set, you've got rice, meat and veggie..
and that's miso soup?? errr, tell me you didn't take photo to show us here..
^^
That's miso soup lah... rugi Rm1.30 only. huhuhu
Deletestill can settle a meal below RM10 in a foodcourt?? that's considered cheap dei..
ReplyDeletenow a bowl of noodles or a plate of rice is already close to RM10, and drink probably another RM3-RM5..
RM18 for two is good lah~~
Yalah... but if eat pan mee cheaper. Only RM6.90. Drinks, but from Aeon or Cold Storage... cheaper. Hahaha
DeleteSame with Rose, usually i will go for chicken...
ReplyDeleteYou two gang. Hahaha
DeleteHuh? That doesn't look like miso soup at all lah..
ReplyDeleteActually, I tried many teppanyaki places, including some expensive ones, so far my favorite has to be the one from Arena food court in One Utama which I frequented long ago, that time when they had the reload card for payment.
Hmmmm long time never set foot to OneU. Must go see what's still there and what's new also lah one day. ;)
DeleteI love teppanyaki especially the vege!
ReplyDeleteSame here! :)
DeleteTeppanyaki is really our favorite.Glad to hear that you also like it :)
ReplyDeleteIt is nice. :)
DeleteThat's a nice meal , looks korean to me though than Japanese. Hahah.... cos Koreans are beef lovers.
ReplyDeleteThat's rather stereotypical don't you think? Hahaha
DeleteAnd actually, I thought they love pork more.
Koreans do consume a whole lot of it. ;)
Koreans love beef more than anything else. You could see on TV when they buy wrapped best beef as gifts during festive seasons.
DeleteI guess I'm so used to see Kang Ho Dong drooling over "daeji" that I always thought they look pork more esp since beef (Korean beef) are so expensive. LOL
DeleteSilly me.
My favourite. Thank god we have it in kuching.
ReplyDeleteI think teppanyaki is everywhere.
DeleteIt's the most Japanese-friendly dish for those who professed they can't eat Japanese food. Hahah
If go tepayaki i will also ordered beef set. Depending of chef that cooks la. some over cooked the taugeh.
ReplyDeleteThat one... any chef masak also depends lah. Hihihi
DeleteNot really crazy about their soup.
ReplyDeleteLikewise.
Deleteadus.. baca post ni terasa lapar terus dan nak makan tepayaki.. tempat fav tepayaki sunway pyramid.. huhhu
ReplyDeleteEnjoy! ;-)
DeleteI used to eat Teppanyaki a lot many years ago and I never liked to sit in front of the chefs frying the taugehs and meat. My face and hair would become so greasy like a wok. I think this Oasis is better as they will serve you over the counter.
ReplyDeleteBut that style oso nice...
Deletehihihi
Though I don't like when they cook in bulk instead of cooking per individual order.
Looks good, I'd order the chicken teppanyaki as I don't eat beef, hehe!
ReplyDeleteWhatever suits us, right? ;)
