you know what?? we have steamboat for reunion dinner on CNY eve, i think for more than 10 years already.. haha!! because it's easier to prepare and we can sit longer on the dining table.. :)
@SK, I love steamboat for the same reason too! Everyone chip in and throw stuff in the pot and eat together. And I do agree on the easy-to-prepare part. :)
Have yet to try the individual pot because like you, I like sharing. ^^
Agree! :) Have not had steamboat for quite awhile.
ReplyDelete@Mei Teng,
ReplyDeleteGo to Bukit Tinggi someday and have a steamboat there, maybe?:)
i actually enjoy doing steamboat, no matter hot or cold weather.. it's actually nice gathering everyone sitting around sharing the time together.. :)

it's the best! now that you mentioned, it has been so long since i had steamboat. it's time to plan one during one of those rainy nights. ;)
ReplyDelete@levian,
ReplyDeleteBeen rather dry these past few nights, though. ;)
Or maybe a get-together at the highlands with steamboat with your "kaki" would be nice too, right? ;)
I like the soup towards the end when it's really sweet and you add meehoon and eggs. Yum!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. I love Japanese Nabe (hot pots) during winter as they are really filling and warm you up.
ReplyDelete@HappySurfer,
ReplyDeleteI like that too! Yummy! :)
@Japan Australia,
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. :)
You make me wish I can visit Japan in the winter! ;)
