When The Sun Is Shining
brightly and relentlessly, one can't but wish for a cooler day and maybe a bit of rain. Not too much, else KL will have flash flooding! But enough to make the day cooler. Don't you agree?
Last Saturday's weather was nice. Grey overcast sky in the morning, perfect for me to do my last long run before the big day on June 24th (managed to do almost 21K, running alone in Putrajaya while Zaini patiently waited for me & snap lots of photos. Woot! Woot!).
all the best to u..
ReplyDelete:)
Deletegeez~~
Deleteits raining heavy here in Philippines and we were about to expect a series of typhoons to come yikes! Though I prefer this kind of weather than summer hehe..
ReplyDeleteI hope the typhoons won't create too much havoc there bluedreamer! @.@
Deletetaiwan is flooding and i hope it won't create havoc in philippines..
DeleteGosh! I hope so too!
Deleteoh lucky you.. never had a time to do some exercise lately..
ReplyDeleteI'm having a bit of problem fitting time to do my runs too lately, that I have no choice but do it at 4.30am! Finish by 5.30am, shower wait for son to get ready for school, send to school and nap until it's time to head to office. huhuhu
Deletehave a great day and happy blogging to you
ReplyDeleteIt's been blessedly cool in Fujiland, too, and not unbearably humid either. Maybe I'm just getting acclimatized? ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm keeping 'em crossed that you'll have cool weather for the marathon.
PS: When I think of what awaits us after our rainy season ... alamak! (+_+)
You have been in Japan far too long. ;p
DeleteWhat comes after rainy season? I thought it's autumn. No?
August. Impossibly unbearably insufferably hot. No rain. Just hot and humid and 35+ degrees and damp and sticky and sweaty, and you have to wear formal clothes in this blessed land, and you have to travel in packed trains, and you have to accept that maybe we'll have power cuts. AAARGH! ~(>_<~)
DeleteI forgot about that... and yet I've been to Japan in Aug - early Sep 2 years ago!
DeleteDefinitely not a good month to walk around Tokyo. @.@
hang in there! Stay tough! Autumn is but a couple of months away... ^^
Wah! You can run 21 km !! Your legs must be strong like Ox! Ha ha ha....
ReplyDeleteJust kidding nia, don't merajuk ok.....
Maybe one day when I can do 42K, I'll admit my legs strong like ox. ;p
Deleteleg strong like ox still can cover, but if the waist is strong like ox too, then very pathetic~~ :D
DeleteI hope you carry a baton when you run alone. Even Putrajaya also have Mat Rempits cruising. They are like parasites everywhere. Just beware ok.
ReplyDeleteThe place I run is relatively rempit free. The only rempits I encountered were the cyclists and most of the serious ones are a pretty friendly bunch. ;)
DeleteIs that your sonin photo? So cute fella with colorful umbrellas behind.
ReplyDeleteYup. :)
DeleteThis post is actually a mask to post up son's photo! kakaka
nice weather? no no no
ReplyDeleteWhy the negative? o.O
Deleteoh was that a Hello Kitty in the background?
ReplyDeleteNope.
DeleteNot sure what that cat is though it is familiar...;)
that cat is very common, businesses usually have them to bring fortune and more business..
DeleteThat one like the one with waving arm ah? xD
DeleteI got two. Plus 1 fishing cat from Taiwan. Wonder can fish more money this year for me or not? ;p
good luck on your marathon lina.... go go go
ReplyDeleteJust a half. Not doing a full marathon just yet. ^^
DeleteThanks. :)
We could do with some here over here. All the best next week!
ReplyDeleteYou too Nick!
DeleteAll the best with your first FM! :)
I see this gadis is well prepared for her next run.
ReplyDeleteWhen the weather is nice, I opt to tug my blanket and snooze~~
I hope so.
DeleteBut this week, on MALAS mode already. Today already Thursday and all I did was 1 7K run. huhuhu
can lah, still got more than a week to go right?? 4km more, ok lah..
Deletenot 17K. Only one 7K. Pathetic huh? ;p
DeleteBut nowadays it's HOT!
ReplyDeleteWake up - already sweating when walk the first step.
Breakfast - feel hot and double hot from the hot coffee.
Toilet trip - return and find both my feet are sweating.
Lunch - don't even dare to go out, hide inside the office for biscuits and milo.
Office ends - cannot avoid the heat, need to pick my girl from school.
Reach home - smelling like dead fish.
And the HOT case does not end when I reach home. It continues until I crawl onto my bed.
LOL
DeleteThink of it as a sauna effect. Can lose weight or no ah, with us sweating buckets everyday? kikiki
Ru said it's rainy almost everyday in Japan... I'm so envious. Our clouds have gone to Japan T____T
ReplyDeleteSome more you put up Raimie pic above with umbrella and rain drops....I miss the rain so much, wuu wuu~
DeleteBut raining in Japan now comes also with humidity. I'd feel sticky all over and my hair would frizz up. :(
DeleteBTW, I should mention this to Rurousha.
DeleteThat umbrella Raimie was holding - we picked it up in front of a konbini late one evening. It was either a discarded umbrella or someone forgot to took it back. We're too stingy to buy the colourful umbrellas in the background! ;p
yes a cold whether really help you for running..
ReplyDeleteIf I run in the hot sun .. I think the next day I will be sick..
Yesterday was so hot and I suffering migrane .. first time I encounter this...
Yup, running in the hot sun can a whole lot of headache (not to mention being sunburnt too!)
DeleteThe weather now is too HOT! @.@
maybe you should wear a cap with fan in it, helps to cool you down..
DeleteHere in Penang, it is hot hot hot, I used to start running about 5.30 PM now I have to tunggu sampai 6.30 or so,, but if I have to do long run, don't care juga,, start about 5.30 also
ReplyDeleteYou tough man you. 5.30pm or 6.30pm, I still don't dare to go out because the sun is still so bright (plus no shady trees).
DeleteNow, I resorted to 4.30am runs on weekdays and 6.00am long runs on weekends + the possibility of getting roasted by the 8.00am sun.
You coming down for SCKLM?
yeah, so hot, i just came back from outside and i am sweat soaked wet!!
ReplyDeleteI don't even dare to venture outside now. Sure migraine one! @.@
Deleteand i read from the paper, this hot weather will continue until september!! so how many more races do you have??
ReplyDeleteOnce every month lor. After SCKLM next week, I got a relay team event during puasa(!) month and then after Raya, King of the Road then Oct will be Putrajaya Night Marathon. As I'm not going to Penang for Penang Bridge Marathon (boohoo!!!) I still have November & December slot empty. ^^
Deletefuyoh, i think it will get hotter in later months leh~~
Deletei remember there was one night last week it rained heavily, and the next day it was so cooling.. errr, cooling as in not that hot lah..
ReplyDeleteHahaha cooling now is just not hot lor...
DeleteBut morning (dawn around 4ish), it's rather cool outside you know. There are actually crazier people than me who are spending the time outside doing their brisk walks. ;)
i actually like that photo, colorful umbrellas in the background.. and the signboard 夢藏, in chinese this means something like treasure in dreams..
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice name for a shop. ^^
