Craving For Some Noodles
I guess this would be good to be enjoyed during a hot day. Icy cold udon. I'm craving for some noodles and the ones I want are those hot, spicy and rich! Like these...
Curry laksa or curry mee. My favourite would be one with lots and lots of cockles.
Laksam, which originates from the east coast; with rich gravy made with pureed fish meat cooked in coconut milk. Add a kick with a huge dollop of sambal belacan.
Mee rebus is nice too. Sweet gravy made with potatoes and peanuts (among others) for a filling meal.
I want some mee udang too! Sweet broth meade with fresh prawns is sooooo nice.
Laksa! Topped with lots of raw onions and pineapples, please! I'm still looking for a good place for my assam laksa.
and to finish off my noodle meal with some refreshingly sweet & icy cold desserts.
Lychee drink and ABC anyone? ^^
or... have a mee rojak by the roadside with a bowl of cendol in these hot days we have been experiencing lately...
Man, why am I craving for these on such hot days like this? o.O
i hope those are only recycled photos and not what you have eaten for one whole day yesterday, haha~~
ReplyDeleteAiyoh! Definitely not in one day lah SK!
DeleteI'd be so bloated after all those! kakaka
i don't actually fancy udon lah, i prefer either soba or ramen.. as for udon, maybe in the "hokkien noodles" style lah, hahaha~~
ReplyDeleteNow you said it, I want to eat Hokkien mee too! LOL
Deleteyeah, that bowl of curry laksa is definitely delicious.. looks like Chinese style curry laksa, and yeah, i love it with cockles too though many opted that out..
ReplyDeleteI like Chinese (halal) style curry mee the best! ^^
Deletei think it's not a bad idea to have hot soup noodles on a hot day.. after all you will be sweating like hell and that's when you actually cool down your body.. :D
ReplyDeletehahaha!! rojak pasembor with cendol!! i really wonder why these two are always together in a combination..
ReplyDeletebut i'm cutting down on carbohydrates recently lah, so try to avoid rice and noodles and bread.. haha!! so what else i am left to eat huh?? :D
ReplyDeleteAll the isi lah.
DeleteCockles.
Prawns.
Chicken meat.
Taugeh.
LOL
More food photos?! :D Not that I have any complaints. They all look delicious.
ReplyDeleteSo mee = noodles?
PS: I had mangosteens today! Our local supermarket sold small packets (4 mangosteens each) for ¥360. I noticed them, immediately thought of a certain blogger in Malaysia, and promptly bought a packet. Oishii! ^^
Like I said,I don't post food photo on FB. I do it here instead. xD Your Hero doesn't read my blogs, does he? ;p
DeleteYes, mee is noodles. ^^
I was just thinking of buying them when we went to a farmers' market (Pasar Tani) this morning. Just to annoy you a bit, 1 kg of mangosteen was sold at RM5.00. hehehe
My Hero is very much aware of you, and our ongoing conversation. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's paid a few visits.
DeleteA kg of mangosteen for RM5?!
You don't need English teachers in Malaysia, do you?! When can I start???
PS: Pepsi Salty Watermelon hasn't been released yet. As soon as I see one, I'll grab it and report back!
Come over. But I have to warn you, you pay through the nose for your nice, wholesome bread and grapes here!
DeleteMore than RM10 for a small loaf of 9 grain bread? o.O
Curry mee with loads and loads and loads (did I mention load?) of cockles are my absolute favorite though I need to run at least a 10K tempo the next day to burn the it off! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI'd need to do a FM after that! LOL
DeleteUih tu makanan sangat bahaya. I think u like to eat japanese food, macam I see it all the time ni XD;;;
ReplyDeleteI never restrict myself to one particular country's food.
DeleteIt'd be such a waste to do that. ;p
