Year 2012. Raimie, with his Boy Scout gang... |
and old photos of Mommy and Daddy at school
1988. Daddy in Standard 6 |
1990. Mommy in Form 3 with her homeroom members |
Both his Sekolah Kebangsaan (National primary school) and Sekolah Rendah Agama (Islamic primary school) are holding their "Hari Anugerah Kecemerlangan" or prize/award giving day this Friday. Same day, same time. Alamak!
He somehow managed to get the top spot in his Sekolah Agama, after a not so good performance last year (managed to get no. 4 only). Know what his Mommy said upon knowing he's the number 1 in Standard 4? "How many students didn't sit the exam?" Hahaha Terrible lah this Mommy, kan?
For the Sekolah Kebangsaan, no surprise. No 2 again. He was better last year because while he got no. 2, he was best student for Science subject. Not this year though. :(
Anyway, congrats dear son. Next year, do better OK?
Congrats to your son. Don't bother about position - I was never good at school, just could pass...and had a wonderful, wholesomely balanced life...and I would say too that subsequently I was very successful in my career as a teacher.
ReplyDeleteSo far, I think he has a balanced life la. Study also must study. Play a lot than study some more. Sports... nowadays, apa sport can really play at school? Padang also kena replace to build building. He just follow mommy run around park saja lah.
DeleteCongratz to Raimie for excelling pretty well for a boy of his age, so which event will he choose to go then, kak Lina? kalau adjacent, just run here, run there lohh.. hehee...
ReplyDeleteWah, kak lina nampak anggun dlm baju MRSM... So, how's your performance during Graduation F.3 & F.5? Still remember your rankings? I bet U did awesome back then... budak2 MRSM kan pandai2 belaka... hihii... =D
SRK & SRA dia bukan sebelah je, dik oi... Bukan boleh main lari-lari je. xD
DeletePerformance at school? Let's just say I love my co-curricular activities more than my studies. ;p
Good morning, Lina!
ReplyDeleteI can't get the first sip today, with STP reported so early at 7:28am :(
How time flies, it's almost end of year 2012 and our kids will be moving a Standard higher :)
ReplyDeleteyah le .. time really flies..
DeleteIt seems that it just started 2012 and now it is Nov.. sigh..
Time flies and we're getting older (and hopefully wiser) ;)
DeleteRaimie is in Boy Scout? Let me locate handsome Raimie~~
ReplyDeleteHe's seated on the 3rd from left :D :D
I can immediately recognize him because he's so fair (the fairest among all!), and I don't even need to enlarge the photo!
Delete**please tell me I'm right!!
hey I am boy scout also..
Deletealways be prepared... kakakaka..

Yvonne,
DeleteYOu are right. Pandai locate Raimie. :)
SP,
Oh you're a boy scout.
If Lord Baden Powell is still alive, he would faint to see SP so Hamsap scout!! Always Be Prepared to Pancut!
DeleteHe's always prepared for Fui Fui mah! LOL
DeleteI've always love men in uniforms, so macho and seductive ♥
ReplyDeleteKakakakaka!
My hubb was a St John Ambulance member, but I find the Scouts make me salivating more! Oops!
Deletehahaha .. ah hua like to play cos play huh?
Deletelike the cecilia? nurse or police? kakakaka
Men (and women) in uniforms are great. I love them too, that's why I tried to join the Armed Forces (the RMAF to be exact).
Delete^^
Wah! Lina clever to hold big guns!!
DeleteMuahahaha! Now Lina every night hold her personal gun and gets high~
DeleteEr... I cannot recognize Zaini leh. Don't know which one is he.
ReplyDeleteBut if I were to make a wild guess - 3rd from left, seated (same position like Raimie)? Or is he the one 2nd from left, top row? Susahnye~
Gadis petai is so easily seen :D
DeleteThe 1st from left, seated one! Yay!!
You didn't wear tudung, senang cam! Otherwise I won't be able to tell out even after scrutinize until my eyes pop out!
Deleteme also duno...not 5th standing last row from left meh?
DeleteHahaha.. I'm always so senang to be seen one. Would usually look different than majority. ;p
DeleteZaini is back row, 6th from right. ;)
Adoi! All wrong, kakakaka!
DeleteMy elder was taking MC yesterday and today. She was fever after her concert and ping pong training on the weekend.
ReplyDeletemaybe she very tired ....
Deletecome this holiday let her rest ... :)
hope she gets well soon. Net week school hols start jor
DeleteHope your eldest get well soon. Too tired kot? The weather we're having can make people feel down also.
DeleteAgree la....my sickness and mood has been dancing in circles the whole week.
DeleteTM,
DeleteFeeling OK already or not?
Luckily she has got all the trophies and prizes on Tuesday. I will let her go to school on Friday.
ReplyDeleteStill got stuff to do at school ke?
DeleteI've always told my son,do well in school but remember don't do it for anyone else but instead do it for their own selves, make their own selves proud and they are their own legacy...
ReplyDeleteI one thing I notice, those children who do well in their study, most of them,do come from happy family,,,,so keep that burning,,, I am Zaini will excel well,,kudos,, and keep praying for him ya
Thanks Eugene
DeleteNumber 2 in the standard 4 is very good and it is not easy for him to retain the position every year. Number 2 is actually having less pressure than number 1. Because number 2 still can improve to number 1.
ReplyDeleteFor him... what number also no pressure.
DeleteBut of course for parents, we want to see upward improvement and not be complacent, right?
I feel the pressure as my girl is number for 2 continouse years. She can only maintain the position, otherwise she is considered stepping down.
ReplyDeleteDon't view it as stepping down, Yan. View it as her classmates becoming more competitive with her. ;)
Deletecongratulation to Raimie!
ReplyDeletethanks
Deletefuyoh, Raimie is such a good student lah, he is a gem!! top the class both in his school and the religion school!!
ReplyDeletelike i said, he is here to get back all that his mommy failed to get last time, hahaha!!
Deletehow can the two event clash on the same day and on the same time?? so which one have you decided to go??
Deletehaiyoh, 1st in religion school and 2nd in primary school, good enough already lah, no need to be better next year lah..
DeleteGo to SRK. SRA prize, granpa will go. ;p
DeleteThe two events can clash... two different schools mah. He goes to SRK morning session and SRA afternoon session. SRA is under JAWI not Kem. Pendidikan also.
Aiyoh... last time Mommy may not get top prize at year-end, but English and Malay related activities; you sure will see his Mommy go up on stage and take hadiah, you know!
Actually, last time also never bother got what number. Got prize to take year-end also, my parents never come to my school.
Last time our education standard was tougher!
DeleteIf tough then, cannot brag the chart for achievers get higher and higher, regardless of the "real" quality of students churned out.
DeleteJust give semua all A lah.
oh, daddy was in standard 6 in year 1988.. and mommy was in form 3 in year 1990.. that means mommy is a year older than daddy..
ReplyDeleteno wonder lah, being the eldest in the family, she is bullying both of his boys!! wakakaka~~
Deletewhich one is zaini?? for you, sure can recognize you without problem lah, hahahaha, looks the same like now only.. and your class so little students only?? less than 20?? wooo..
DeleteSK so bad!!!!!!!!!! Where got I bully my family. LOL
DeleteThat's my homeroom members aka keluarga angkat while in boarding school. Class also, we have about the same number of students. I don't think I've been in a class that has more than 20 student while I was in MRSM. An advantage of studying there. :)
This SK so clever to calculate nia.....Lina Big Bully kan?
DeleteWhere got?
DeleteI sweet one lah. Muahaha!!!!
dapat number 2 pun good enough la. No need number one punya. As long as akal pintar cukup
ReplyDeleteAkal memang pintar. Clever to answer mommy back also. LOL
DeleteIf only clever to answer all exam questions correctly. haha
When I answer mummy back I would see flying slaps!
DeleteSame lah... Cannot answer back one.
DeleteKids nowadays... have muxh more open-minded parents.
He can talk back but he is definitely not allowed to be rude to parents and the elderly.
Mommy is the one sitting one the left hand side lke? Looks like you
ReplyDeleteYup. :)
DeleteOnce upon a time you nampak holy and innocent.......
DeleteLina the tiger mom! :D
ReplyDeleteWell done, Raimie, and good luck with the next school year!
PS: Todai waits patiently.
You know how Todai students has very neat and very good notes? Just by that, I know Raimie is not Todai material! Muahaha!!!
DeleteI concede defeat in trying to read his Arabic homeworks. Kakaka
congrats raimie!!
ReplyDeleteand to his parents as well. :)
