Eighth Day of Ramadan : Training
Lower than what I should be doing but still OK. I skipped Sunday run because I wasn't feeling too good. Didn't run on the first two days of fasting too because of some matters that kinda prevented me from doing it.
Hope I can do more this week and the weeks after this, during Ramadan month.
And I take whatever mileage I can get. Junk or not junk. Running or walking. Like this :
Walking from LRT station to car workshop instead of taking a bus or a cab and deal with traffic jam.
Or taking the KTM and walking to the station instead of taking a bus there.
My, my.
A short running post from me?
Now, this is a change. LOL
5 years ago, I have a Malay colleague who really workout with me during her fasting month and I could see that she lost some weight. She was happy as she wanted so much to lose weight. Have a good run, Lina!
ReplyDeleteGood for your friend. :-D
DeleteSame here, Sis... Managed to do 1 LSD run on my Bday last week, only 21km for the 1st week of Ramadhan... My tummy need to adapt with this fasting month 1st then I can run before or after iftar... Hopefully I could clock in more mileage by this week too...
ReplyDeleteRain or shine, need to run more for BIM and RJM... Creepy much! @_@
Let's run more and feel good, Sis! I`m sure you will do just fine this coming Le Sabuns Ultra LSD, heard the Pink Runners will be swarming POJ... =D
ehehe
Deletenak kena ejas perut ke? :-D
Neways, i thot you deferred runinng BIM to next year? All the best then. I'm skipping BIM, I think. Need to be realistic abt this. For me la... ;-)
At 1st I was thinking of skipping it, but then, after I saw the cool blue running tee and tempting finisher medal, I've decided to go for it, plus the air tix was on promo on that time...
DeleteAfter agreeing to proceed, then I realised I'll be doing RJM a week after... Gosh!!! Looks like I'll be running snail pace for RJM, recovery run, so called... =P
All the best to BIM & RJM then. :-)
Deletehmmmm, i think it takes a lot of determination and self-control to fast.. what's more you are also keeping on with your running routines!! that's indeed something very "saint-ful" that many would choose to put aside during the fasting month..
ReplyDeleteIf I "rest" during this fasting month, it'll be sooooo hard to restart and get back the fitness level. Now also tarak fit. If rest, how la? :-D
Deletehahaha, yes!! try different alternatives like walking instead of taking transport.. well, at least there is a thought, and whether you are going to do it especially under this hot weather and also in this getting-less-safe place, that's another issue.. :p
ReplyDeleteSafety is an issue of course, but we can be smart about it.
DeleteIt's not totally unsafe to venture out. ;-)
but at least the distance you "chin chai" run over the weeked also longer than what i have done over the whole week lah, muahahahaha!! i think i just did like 2km on the treadmill everytime in the gym.. aiyoh, paiseh~~ :D
ReplyDeleteAiyoh, you do 2k & continue with weights.
DeleteI focus on running.
Cannot compare. :-)
great, different topics on different days of ramadhan month.. more interesting than to tell us what was your iftar and sahur everyday like many people out there blog about, at least what i think personally.. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't eat enough interesting food to bore you all with in-depth daily reports on it. LOL
DeleteThe buffet spread everywhere is nice and yummy.
DeleteToo expensive though.
DeleteYour post is short like Ah boy's one today. Is this a new trend?
ReplyDeleteLess talk. Less nonsense. Less does. :-D
DeleteYou have a very strong mind and willpower to run every Ramadhan month! I am sure you will be thinner and fitter on every Hari Raya.
ReplyDeleteSo good during puasa then after Raya... Habis!!! LOL
