Tenth Day of Ramadan : Out of My Comfort Zone
It was Tuesday. The car was still in the workshop. A few colleagues and friends offered me a ride to office. I declined.
I walked from my house to the KTM station and took komuter train to office instead. Yeah, there are buses that ply the route to the KTM station but oh what's wrong with a little bit of walking?
Zaini walked with me, of course.
Anyway, the 30 minutes walk was nothing to sweat of, but I decided to sulk and pout at Zaini. Just because. HAHAHA
Poor guy. Not his fault the car got into an accident and the workshop took longer than promised to get the car ready.
Anyway, he just ignored my sulking and behaved normally because he knows I'll cool down soon. I hate that guy somethimes. But I lurrvvve him too. *dush*
Talking about comfort zone... With reports of robberies, mugging, snatch thefts, kidnapping...

If we are all so alarmed at our safety, why do most of us stayed glued to our gadget screen whenever we have the chance. Walking, crossing the road, driving?
Stop looking at the blasted screen and be aware of your surrounding instead!
That's all for today.
Maaf zahir batin. ^^
You're so true, make the point, nowadays I really not dare to bring my phone out, if really have to do so, I always keep it inside my pocket, really scared, no where is safe!!! =[
ReplyDeleteCannot say nowhere is safe. Also cannot say everywhere is safe.
DeleteBut what we can do is being vigilant and smart about our OWN safety. :-)
The entire world has been reduced to a few square inches. It's just ... gaaaaa!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad, however, for the reassurance that it's not just Japan that's obsessed with mobile phones.
PS: Please tell me you were not wearing high heels during this walk!
it's just a 30min walk, woman!
DeleteHeels make good weapon, by the way. :-D
"He just ignored my sulking and behaved normally because he knows I'll cool down soon." I think Zaini and The Hero are twins.
ReplyDeleteI hate it when he knows me too well. Hah! The two guys should never meet each other & compare notes. LOL
DeleteGood lah Sis dapat workout pergi balik kerja, bakar kalori di bulan puasa ini... Anyhow, speedy recovery to your poor car... Eh I thought the dent were small only but still need to spend more nights at the workshop? Hopefully by next week you'll get back the car... Ngeh2...
ReplyDeleteAgreed, never ever let your eyes glued to the tiny smartphone's screen, especially while walking or even in the public transports, Malang Tak Berbau... Beringat sebelum terkena... =P
Eiiii... I still run regularly during fasting month tawwww ;-)
Deleteyalah, small dent only. Bumpertercabut. Boot kemek, takleh bukak jer. :-D
Dah siap dah pun, neways. :-)
if there is public transport like train to go to your office straight away, then i don't think that's too inconvenient also lah.. sometimes i'd also rather take public transport than to trouble friends or colleagues.. :)
ReplyDeleteTrue also.
DeleteAt least its just walking to station from.y house only and I don't need to transfer to another line or take a bus to get to office.
but seems like you were not bothered by the "exceptional" service of the KTM huh?? or have they really improved a lot?? i remember i used to have to wait for at least 30 minutes, and more than an hour is quite common, for the train and just a merely 5 minutes journey from KL Sentral to MV..
ReplyDeleteThis time I was lucky, I guess.
DeleteI only waited for less than 10minutes each time for the train.
I've once spent 1.5 hours for a journer from MV to KTM Serdang. 1 hour waiting for train. O.O
that's Keretapi Terlalu Melampau lah.. it's really very frustrating to waste an hour waiting for the train..
Deleteguess your hubby already knew your "macam" lah, just sengaja want to frown but deep down in the heart, you so enjoy that 30 minutes walk together with him.. hmmm, no wonder many say the ladies always say something but mean another.. :p
ReplyDeleteHehehe
DeleteYalor
I sulked but inside, I was happy to walk with him one. ^_^
hahaha, very true about that lah.. nowadays with almost everyone holding a smartphone on hand, i guess more than half of them cannot keep their hands off it and their eyes off the screen.. i must confess i'm one of those sometimes.. which i have to admit, not safe lah, because when we are so concentrated on the phone, we tend to relax and not be alert on surrounding threats..
ReplyDeleteItulah...
DeleteThat's why I always leave my phone behind or just keep it in my handbag when I'm out.
Plus, no need to act so busy play games while walking or on the lift. :-D
Some even watch movies while walking. Life do busy izit?
i don't play games while walking, i only busy whatsapping the most..
Deletewell, it's just for the time being. Everything will be back to square one once the car is fixed. Be patient and enjoy your walking. After all, it's not Zaini's fault. Have a nice day walking.. :)
ReplyDeleteI did! :-)
DeleteOf course it's not Zaini fault but it's good to "blame" him sometimes. LOL
You never acted like that and secretly love how your hubby tried to placate you, Wenn? ;-)
I so kesian you for not having a car for so many days!!! No car is like no legs to me. Anay will die without a car.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to greet you Good Afternoon!
DeleteToday is Friday 19th July 2013.
I would be very happy if got KTM or LRT near my house! I rather leave my car at home. I cannot wait for the MRT nearby to siap!!!!
DeleteZaini is cute and understands your predictable tantrums like weather!!! Wakakakakaka!!! Adoi Mak Glam!!
DeleteLately there has been reports of robberies in my area again and everyone is scared like hell. They smash car windows at traffic lights and simply slash victims outside their homes. I wanna move back to my condo!!
DeleteI hope Mak Glam will never carry big handbags and golek on the street! Pencuri banyak lah!!
DeleteSekian lah saja, hari Jumaat. Maaf Zahir dan Batin.
DeleteAnay,
DeleteI look so poor, thieves also will pity me lah! :-D
LOL.....Wondering if you wearing high heel or what walk to the KTM
Deletewah that station so canggih now ah? Last time go lubang there can curi curi walk through to Tmn Muhhibah :p
DeleteHappy Friday and have a nice weekend :p
DeleteNow lots of station still can do that. Ticket also just manual give to staff. KTM system cannot cope with the amt of commuters. :(
Deletewei wei...you tarak shoot the workshop ka? Some workshop will provide temporary car for their client to use with no extra charge leh
ReplyDeletebut sometimes got to queue or wait for the car leh...
DeleteActually thot can settle in a few day's time so it wasn't an issue at first but then, it took longer than expected.
No car? Alamak.. Patah kaki..
ReplyDeleteAnyways, most people take things easy - until something happened to them. So, if they have never been mugged before they'll continue texting or calling while walking and not caring for their surroundings. Sometimes they need other people to knock senses into their heads.
Happy Weekend! :)
Dapatlah revisit the "ohsem" public transport in KL balik. Takkan foreign workers je yang guna public transport kannnn? HAHAHA
DeleteYes, agree. But then, these are the same people who'd make the most noise about Malaysia being totally unsafe and yet, they show complete ambivalence about safety precautions themselves. :(
Sorry to hear about the accident. Glad that nobody was hurt. Ohhhh.... I dislike sweating when I get into office. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, nobody was hurt and that's why I consider it a minor incident. ^^
DeleteNowadays I take public transport whenever I am back in Malaysia - mostly LRT and monorail, on/off KTM. Among the 3 unfortunately, KTM is probably the worst - in terms of crowd and punctuality :/
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, yes... KTM sucks. Pity. :(
DeleteThough, monorail come a close second to KTM.
