Second Day of Ramadan - Trials And Rising Above Challenges
First day of fasting came and went. We survived it without any hassle. Life does go as usual, albeit a wee bit differently.
Waking up at 5.00am to cook pre-dawn meal for instance. Zaini was marvelous and actually cooked our first sahur of Ramadan. Raimie wanted to eat fried rice and that was what he got. Brown rice fried rice. Chewy. ;)
Massive traffic jam experienced on Wednesday. Yeah, yeah... blame it all on us rushing back after work to break fast at home.
The boys got a bit of shock earlier.
This red car banged into Zaini's car somewhere along Jalan Bangsar. The lady was pretty much shaken. Raimie too. Poor boy. Good thing no one was hurt.
The car will be in a workshop this weekend "recuperating".
That's one small trial for us during this holy month.
With trials, one should rise above the occasion, tackling any challenges headlong and come out stronger.
As does this guy, Ray. A fellow Malaysian. Running in the legendary Leadville Trail 100 soon.
He's the only representative from Malaysia, among 1,047 Ultra runners around the world that signed up for this gruelling race.

Deletethank goodness your dent is less...but still no car for few days very troublesome..cobaaaannnn

DeleteSelangor had no holiday today. I saw the school kids today near our factories. Traffic just jammed earlier but it ended much earlier.
ReplyDeleteHaha my bad. I thought Selangor cuti just like Johor and Melaka. :-D
Deleteno cuti...j also gone to school but one or two of his muslims friends didnt attend school.
DeleteThis runner Ray raised my eyebrows. He is so tough and strong like an ox! I am proud of him.
ReplyDeleteDon't say ox la. Strong but slow one.
DeleteThis guy us strong and fast like a horse. ;-)
Accidents happen, no matter how careful one is. Just be thankful no one's hurt...and pray for God's protection every time when on the road.
ReplyDeletethat's so true, stp.
DeleteYou take care too
you dont langgar people and people might langgar you
DeleteYalor...
DeleteAnd this one was actually when our car was stationary. Stop at traffic light. Haiz
Yikes! That's a big bump! Was the driver texting or doing her makeup or what on earth?
ReplyDeleteI hope you car looks better! @_@
Oh! You're not supposed to text, whatsapp, line, kakaotalk, we hat, tweet or ibstagrammed while driving? :-D
DeleteOh dear, what a day with all the incident, thank goodness Raimie was fine, poor boy, must be shaken by such accident...
ReplyDeleteSis, Selangor xcuti lah Awal Ramadhan, maybe many people took a day off yesterday for the 1st day of fasting. =D

Thank God no one gets hurt.
ReplyDeleteAccidents happen, but important thing is that no one is hurt.
ReplyDeleteactually, this is the first time our 7-yo car got involved in an accident.

ReplyDeleteI yang request he cook. :-D
Deleteerrr traffic jam?? hahaha, i didn't know that, thought many choose to take a day off on the first day of ramadhan?? me, happy, because the train is always empty during ramadhan~~ :p
ReplyDeletemak oi!! that accident is bad, what a bad dent on the red car, i wonder how's yours?? anyway, no body wished for accidents to happen, glad that everyone's okay and nobody's hurt..
ReplyDeleteLuckily our car not so bad. And most important,no one was hurt.
DeletePhew
the car will be in a workshop this weekend "recuperating".. lucky there's no run for you this weekend?? i mean the run events, not your routine run practices..
ReplyDeleteanyway, even if there's no car and nobody to bring you there.. i am very sure you will make your own way and not just keep on complaining "what to do?? nobody brings me there.." like someone~~ :D
DeleteNasib baik fasting month. So no races and I didn't enter any also for the whole month. :-D
DeleteWishing all Muslims a good start to your Ramadan. I am always drooling at your dinners during the fasting month. I am looking forward and extremely happy to buy the yummy kueh kueh at our Malay Village Bazaar.
ReplyDeleteThank you ECL!
DeleteEnjoy your food feasting this Ramadhan month! Don't forget to burn all those extra calories afterwards too! ;)
Rise above the occasion...and come out stronger. Thanks Lina. I really really needed someone to remind me of this. :)
ReplyDeleteHope Zaini's car come out as good as new. Kalau bab kereta2 ni tak kira berapa umur kereta, mesti rasa hmppfff kan. Dugaan.
Oh malam tadi berapa km? ;)
I hope the car OK cepat. Rumah ni ada satu keta je, so bila takde oh suffernya.
DeleteMalam tadi kunun nak buat 26K. Then Zaini ckp, buat 26K time lari dgn sabun lah. Then ingat nak buat 23K but si anak time I baru finish 11K, duduk kat balcony tanya "mama habis pukul berapa?" and he wanted to wait for me before going off to bed.
So run dpt diskaun jadi 18+ aje sbb anak tunggu (konon nya lah.) Tapi bila balik, anak dah tertidur atas katil, with lights on. Penat tunggu Mama tak habis habis lari. And I felt kinda guilty about it.
Dilemma seorang ibu. uhukhuk
