About 200 Butterflies from the Butterfly Project - Beauty Bloggers which also included their family members and friends headed down to Taman Lembah Kiara in TTDI on Sunday Morning to support the Butterfly walk fund-raiser.

I am very new in this Butterfly Project - Beauty Bloggers FB group and when I heard about this fund-raising event being organised, I didn't even hesitate to join. Like I said, I am very new to the group but I have benefited from joining them. My very small way of thanking them. Thank you for the opps given to me! *muaks* And I'm in for anything involving outdoors anyway. ;-)
Happy to finally meet Tammy. Tammy, hope you knee injury heals fast! Get well soon!
The Butterfly fund-raising walk was just a small event, limited to 200 participants.
Respect to Tammy and the Butterfly teams for getting sponsors for our awesome goodie bags in such a short time. Only two weeks, if am not mistaken.
Registered and paid RM20 for me and hubby (RM10 each for the fund-raiser) and was quite surprised and pleased when it was informed afterwards that each paid participant gets a goodie bag.
This is really an awesome goodie bag right? I've joined many running and walking events that was held for charity that cost so much more and gotten so much less before. And all I paid was RM10.00. Great job again, Butterfly team!
Even got a coupon for free Gong-Cha drink which was redeemed from the Gong-Cha truck that was parked next to the registration area. ^^
Where's Milo and 100-Plus you ask? Err... this is not a proper, professionally and sanctioned walking event lah and well... it's a walk for Butterflies and their friends and families. Must have Milo ah? Gong-Cha better wor. Lagi mahal. Kekeke
Extra Gong-Cha can be purchased and it's only RM1.00! Awesome!
Three flavours were available and of course we tried all three; GC Signature Winter Melon (which is my favourite), Salted Caramel Chocolate (son's drink) and Grapefruit Green Tea (for Daddy). Yummms...
The queue for the Gong-Cha drinks was quite long because the truck arrived late and required a bit of time setting up. I heard that the truck broke down somewhere but it finally made it to the site. Phew~
We only started our walk after redeeming the Gong-Cha drinks and so we strolled with our drinks in hand. ^^
The walk itself was pretty much up to participants to do or not. But we went out already, walk a bit lah, right? I already did a 2 hour run earlier, showered, head to TTDI for this and added another 40min walk to the day's total workout.
A great way to spend a Sunday morning, if you ask me.
Later, we rummaged through the goodie bag to look closely at the awesome goodies from generous sponsors.
From Human Nature @ Down to Earth and TT Mask Malaysia.
My Dove Body Wash & Posh nail spa.
Yummy Yogoood Glow Cereal Bars. Two in each goodie bag!
Sample pack from Kiehl's Malaysia.
The bandana are way cool! Plenty of ways to rock it.
Now that we got two, we don't need to buy buff to wear during our run anymore!
Thank you Butterfly Project for an awesome morning!

Hubby took a look at it and asked "didn't your friend wore this?" The friend he was referring to succumbed to lung cancer last year. She wore something similar as her tudung. :(

Thank you Butterfly Project for an awesome morning!
Oh, you guys are the butterflies! Sound fun!
ReplyDeleteNice post! Thank you so much for supporting The Butterfly Project. I'm glad you enjoyed your time today :)
ReplyDeletePleasure is all mine.
DeleteWould love to thank each of you but you guys were busy.
Didn't know you're one if their member, remember I wanted to join last time, but they request to have some sort of self picture, I didn't really like to show my face so never wanted to john anymore, hehe !!! =]
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't asked from me.
DeleteAnyway, if you didn't want to, yeah well... it's your choice.
Don't know...but it's okay la...I always will find something to do one!!! =]
DeleteTo each their own, right?
DeleteI don't have anything else to do... cos scrapped off plan to join KL Car Free morning plan to join this. Lol
That's great!
ReplyDeleteand yr boy's poses are so nice..
Thanks ^^
Deletevery interesting and look very happy event.
ReplyDeleteEvent yg sgt murah hati ;-)
DeleteI was wondering where are the butterflies !!
ReplyDeleteHaha got you wondering at first? ;-)
DeleteSo much stuff inside the goodies bag!!
ReplyDeleteYup! :-)
DeleteLol...I thought apa butterflies... good to walk n do charity at the same time
ReplyDeleteLol
DeleteWe're the butterflies ;-)
Saw their fb...seems to hv some issue where some ask for refund coz can't go for the walk...hmmm...rm10 for charity leh...ady say charity then how can ask back money....just my dua sen
ReplyDeleteIt's a fund raiser. If cannot come, just think yse tge RM10 to help with the funds la. Goodie bag is extra. Like that, might as well just ask for contribution and ship out the goodie bags... at a fee. Right?
Deleteawww, the Butterfly team did such a great job!! this is by far the BEST goodies bag i have seen from what Mak Glam has shared with us on her blog.. and you all rock ladies, by making it happens in just two weeks!! i guess many other events took months to prepare and all they got were just "less surprising" sponsors..
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely correct la Ah Boy!
Deletehaha, yalah, 100-plus or Milo are so common and so standard.. maybe it's nice to give a surprise by finding Gong Cha (though Uncle SK has not tried this before, and of course not her counterpart competitors also).. i guess maybe this is a charity event and hence you have got more glamour sponsorships huh?? :)
ReplyDeleteThat day at Mid Valley charity run i had my first cup og Gong-cha. ;-)
DeleteNice la to get this instead of small cups of 100-plus or milo if you ask me. ^^
The brands that support this Butterfly Project came out in support I think. Good la, right?
I was surprised to see Gong Cha too! I love their drinks which is quite unique and nice for you to choose the sweetness levels. I think this brand came from Taiwan and I saw their outlets in Taipei and other places were all small tiny stalls that don't look so cosy like what we have here.
DeleteIt wi be nice if we all can enjoy the drinks together one day, Anay! :-)
Deletecool bandana on the boys but why Mak Glam didn't wear it and selfie together?? and when Pak Kura said "didn't your friend wore this?", i thought he was referring to another fried of Mak Glam (errr, you know who i am referring to right??).. and Anak Bujang looks cool with the bandana lah, the top left looks the best while the bottom left a bit "too pretty" lah~~ :p
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA
DeleteI know exactly who!@!@
The bandana looks cool eh!
ReplyDeleteGong Cha - ever tried this before too.
Ever? Never? :-D
DeleteThose bandana shots are SO COOL! Tell the wearer his ichiban fan in Tokyo is grinning hugely and soppily. :D
ReplyDeleteGlad Auntie Ichiban fan likes it ;-)
DeleteInteresting event ya...
ReplyDeleteYup. :)
DeleteI am impressed with their attractive goodie bags! You are making me greedy already. Muahahahaha
ReplyDeletePhiak Anay for being greedy. Lol
