August Man Run Media Lunch & Route Preview

Last Saturday, we were invited to join the media lunch for August Man Run.

August Man Run will return for its second edition, after a very successful inaugural run in 2017.

I was crazy enough to turn up to August Man Run in 2017 right after concluding my UM24 run (podium tau. hahaha) just a few hours before. Simply because August Man Run 2017 had so many interesting goodies that I didn't want to miss out on. Hah hah

So don't miss out on this year's edition too!

August Man magazine is a men's luxury lifestyle publication and the run is aimed to promote physical and mental wellness through running. Various festivities will also be held on the day such as lucky draws and a best dressed award.

Registration is already open, with 6K and 12K categories available.

The August Man Run 2019 has partnered with KEN Holdings, Ultron, Fossil, Spritzer, Malta, Babel Fit, Milo and many others in ensuring a lifestyle run like no other.

Welcome speech by Rubin Khoo, associate publisher of August Man Magazine.

Something different this year, the run will be held on Saturday, in the evening.

After a quick lunch provided by the organizer, we headed out to check the whole 12K route.
The run will start at Menara KEN, TTDI and we will be running heading towards Rumah Bakti Tun Siti Hasmah.

6K will be making a u-turn at this 3K mark while 12K runners will continue onwards into a private road section where we'll see minimal traffic (but there will be monkeys!)

There are a few rolling sections but as commented by other runners that were there, it's nothing to be worried about.

The organizer and technical director assured us that safety will be of the upmost importance and necessary measures will be implemented to ensure a smooth and safe race.

I can say, it'll be an interesting run - something different than what I normally do for a race because I rarely do an evening race that starts at 5pm.

After the preview, we regrouped at Menara KEN and a few of us had another coffee and gossip session.
Some cakes with coffee didn't hurt either.
We shared carrot cakes and this interesting cendol cake.

I ordered the cendol cake because its striking look. Yeah, just for the looks only.

The taste is quite subtle and I have to say, doesn't remind me of cendol at all.

I'll be joining the August Man Run on Apr 20, 2019 and hope to see some friends there too.

And I sure can't wait to use the Starbucks vouchers which will be given to participants later too! Fans of Milo fret not, Milo will be there too! ^^

Collaborating with the organizer, Cik Arnab & Kura-Kura is doing a giveaway for our followers and readers where we have 3 August Man Run complimentary slots for 3 lucky winners. Do head over to our Facebook page Cik Arnab & En Kura-Kura to join the giveaway. Giveaway ends on Mar 21, 2019.

Alternatively, you can register to join August Man Run here.
