Fun Stuff Saturday

Nothing special, as always. But that sure won't stop me from doing a blog post about today! LOL

The day started early. Needed to be at Raimie's school. There's a meeting today about some involvement from parents for the kids or stuff like that. I tell you, I can't understand most of the Malay words used in official letters nowadays. What' does "sarana" mean again? o.O
The soft-spoken headmaster giving a speech. Parents' attendance, as usual was dismal. The usual set(s) of parents (or shall we say, mothers) were there. I don't think it was because today was GE nomination day that caused the dismal attendance!

Anyway, we are supposed to come today to meet with the teachers for the report card too! Well, some parents are busy, I suppose.

Same old story with Raimie's academic performance. Still no. 2 for Std 5. Still a few things that needed to be improved. Overall good but as his class teacher said, a good student is not based only on his/her results but overall performance. In studies. In discipline. In character. Raimie had his name in the discipline book a few times and he doesn't seem to be perturbed about it. Haish. That boy.

Went to collect the t-shirt & bib number for next week's 12K race at World Kidney Run after that.
Limited medals for 250 Women Open runners. I hyperventilated about it a bit (since I do want a medal) and Zaini looked at me and asked "why? You think you can't?" OK OK I'll run and aimed to get one. That means, no late start. No cheesy grins to strangers and saying hi to random people. Just RUN! hahaha(as if I run faster if I stopped clowning around anyway) ekekeke

Makan wise, it's simple homemade meals for Saturday :
This was actually lunch. Part healthy, part unhealthy. Healthy : veges lightly fried with crushed black peppers. Unhealthy : cocktail cheese-filled-sausages.

Dinner. Mommy still on "don't want rice" mode and been craving for some tortilla for days, after seeing this post.
It was an early dinner because Mommy wants a join a running group doing a night LSD in Putrajaya. It was a run organised by Athlete's Circle.
Hot, hot night to run in. Blergh. Thank you Athlete's Circle for the session and the free iced water + oranges. ^^

well, it's always like that when it comes to Parents Day. Most parents won't be able to make it especially parents of weaker classes.

    1. Yummy, healthy and not expensive too!

Every parent have their own challenges I suppose in making time for their kids. Some just don't have the time and resources as others. :(

  2. Yummm!!! Your homemade meals look great.

Ya...so sad...when the schools try to do something and parents do not support...and anything wrong, they will be so fast in blaming the school and the poor teachers.

    1. I have to agree.

But then, sometimes... have to blame both parties (parents & teachers) for not trusting each other.

  12. When Letchumi last taught at the private school @ Damansara Hts, the parents paid some RM45K of fees and only wanted hear sweetest things. She learnt a lesson that those parents were nuts. If they heard negatives about their kids, they would consider change teacher or school instead.

It`s normal right for kid around Raimie`s age to be naughty once in a while... Biasanya budak lelaki yang nakal nih bijak pandai belaka...

If he is a bit more rajin, he can surely beat that no. 1 Golden Boy in no time... =D
