Gearing Up For An Auspicious Year of the Rat At Cosmo Hotel KL

On Wednesday, we visited Cosmo Hotel Kuala Lumpur, a trendy and stylishly chic hotel that offers the finest 4-star services and hospitality located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

The hotel is located just a few hundred metres away from the Masjid Jamek LRT station, making it a great and convenient place to stay in Kuala Lumpur.

Late last year, once KL Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) announces its 2020's race dates, I had already checked out the hotel online in case we want to stay here during the race weekend in June.
And here we are, at the very hotel on Wednesday. Not for a stay this time, but to check out their Lunar New Year Feast offerings.

With the Lunar New Year around the corner, Cosmo Hotel Kuala Lumpur is all set to welcome the auspicious Year of the Rat on a hearty note. (And we're all set to enjoy a hearty Lunar New Year meal there!)
From January 6th to February 8th 2020, diners can enjoy a 6-course lunch at Cafe Mint, Cosmo Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The 6-course lunch features a Treasure Platter, choice of soup, 3 main courses comprising seafood, chicken and vegetable; and auspicious Chinese desserts. Steamed rice and Chinese condiments are served on the side and inclusive of free flow of Chinese tea.

No Chinese New Year celebration would be complete without the traditional toss of Yee Sang for good luck, prosperity, health and all things auspicious, right?

For a table of eight pax and above, diners will receive a complimentary half portion of Yee Sang and be entitled to one Ang Pow dip per reservation.
Yee Sang is also available for lunch, dinner and takeaway until February 8th, 2020 with a choice of Salmon Yee Sang, Jellyfish and Fresh Fruits Yee Sang or Mango and Vegetarian Yee Sang priced from RM48.00 nett per half portion (suitable for two to four persons).

A full portion of Salmon Yee Sang is available fro m January 10 - 20th, 2020 and priced for just RM88.88 nett.
Salmon Yee Sang for me please!
For the 6-course set lunch, we started with a hearty chicken soup followed by a Treasure Platter.

Choice of Seafood
Steamed Fish Fillet with Nyonya sauce.
Buttermilk Prawns or Kam Heong Squids (no photo).

Choice of Chicken
Chinese Lemon Chicken.
Kung Pao Chicken or Roast Sesame Chicken with Plum Sauce.

Choice of Vegetables
Garlic Choy Sum.
Stir Fried Broccoli with Oyster Sauce or Stir Fried Chinese Mixed Vegetables in Egg Sauce.
To complete off the satisfying meal, we enjoyed Chinese Longan with White Fungus. It was a refreshing end for a great meal.

For only RM48.88 nett per person, we not only enjoyed a great meal but also impeccable and attentive service by the staff.
For their service, I give them a 6 star. Serious!

If the hotel management are reading this, please give the staff a pat on the back. And if you're a long time reader of this blog, you'd know how I place great importance and give appreciation to good service.

We left Cafe Mint with a belly full of delicious food and a contented smile on our face.

For those who want to relax and enjoy a Chinese New Year getaway in the city, Cosmo Hotel Kuala Lumpur is offering a Prosperity Room Package starting from RM188.00 nett per room per night for stays between now to February 8th, 2020.

Privileges include buffet breakfast for two persons, late check-out until 2.00pm (subject to availability) and one Ang Pow dip per booking upon check-in.

Guests can also enjoy a traditional lion dance performance at the Hotel's main lobby on February 6th, 2020 at 2.00pm.
