Training While Fasting?
I thought of going for a run before buka puasa yesterday but as luck would have it; it rained yesterday. I don't really mind rain but I'll avoid going outdoors when there's thunder & lightning involved!
Trying to fit a run before buka puasa on weekdays needs a bit of juggling, time wise since I work.
It's much easier to fit in a run before buka puasa on the weekends and I did that last Sunday.
I was actually surprised that I could hold a tempo pace and even threw in some hill repeats! Did 30min tempo run and 30min hills (the one in the photo) plus 30min walk. All in all, not bad.
I'll try do them again this weekend!
Happy Ramadhan!
Total up one hour is fine for a day right? Don't push too hard!! =]
ReplyDeleteAlways know your limit. :-)
DeleteWow ...well done. But would you be dehydrated ? Guess it's good you take it easy on the run.
ReplyDeleteThat's why best for me to finish before buka puasa. Then can drink already.
DeleteI usually don't look for a drink while running up to 10K anyway. But of course must hydrate after! :-)
ah, a run before buka puasa?? hmmm, so that would be like 4-5am in the morning?? definitely something tough for me to achieve, but for Lina the very determined person, surely no problem, the only hindrance for her would be the weather..
ReplyDeleteooopsss, confused.. buka puasa means in the evening right?? muahahaha, what was i thinking that 4-5am?? itu sahur and you actually meant iftar.. :p
Delete30min tempo run and 30min hills plus 30min walk!! wow, that is indeed one great workout dei!! ask me to run for 30min, i will faint, or if not dehydrated!! it really take an extra bit to do this during the fasting month huh?? you are awesome!!!
Deleteand your title for this post should not end with a ? lah.. because there is certainly no doubt for you to do so.. end it with triple exclamation marks!! HIHIHIHI ^^
DeleteHahaha poor sk got confused.
DeleteI'm not determined la. Do also depend on mood. But I want to make it a habit of not giving excuses just because puasa mah.
I hate waking up early. I don't think I can run at night too because I'll sleep way late so the only option is b4 buka puasa...v;-)
Syabas Lina! Even fasting time, you can break into some runs.. I think I will collapse first.. well, that's me! :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha... i got more than 30years practice on fasting. Lol
DeleteSalam ramadhan, nice effort there, what if we run before sahur, have u ever tried that? Nak Cuba lah... Hehe okbai..
ReplyDeleteBefore sahur klu weekdays pening for me. Sbb nk lari balik nak masak lagi (or bangun lagi awal to masak first).
DeleteTapi klu weekends ok jer. Hihihi
P.s. saya tak suka bangun awal pagi yg melampau. Okbai :p
DeleteHihi
Wow! I have to salute you, Lina. You are a very determined woman. Selamat berpuasa.
ReplyDeleteHahaha wish I'll continue to be determined the whole month! ;-)
DeleteThank you.
Lina, I guess it is important to maintain the routine, huh? Good for you that you can still train during Ramadhan!
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, will get malas and fat. LOL
ReplyDeleteYup :-)
ReplyDeleteI really salute your strong willpower and determination when running is concerned. You never give lame excuses to cheat yourself and just forge ahead, rain or shine! BAGUS!!
ReplyDeleteThis morning you knew, I was pushing Meow to go hiking as per her "wonderfool" dreams! Wakakakaka
If only I'm this tenacious towards my studies &/ work. Muahaha
DeleteYes, please push that kucing so that she can fulfill her dream :-)
I very scare when it rain when i wanna go jog, rain, can't go jog liao...
ReplyDeleteCan "jog" in malls I guess lol
DeleteI train before sungkai too, but tu haus omg, hill/trail training for an hour, haus gila eh. But need to try cover more distance today. Hopefully ok. Prolly gonna do night runs.
ReplyDeleteWahh... you also gigih!!!
