A CNY Fishy Lunch

Remember I posted on how we got some free desserts at Manhattan Fish Market because their staff caused a friend of mine to be drenched in drinks?
 
Here's what we ate that time, other than the free stuff. ^^
 Their yee-sang. OK lah, but almost cannot see or taste the salmon. Hahaha
 Fried Giant. Got prawn, fish fingers, snapper fillets, battered onion strips and calamari.
 Spicy seafood olio.
Volcano Island. Grand name for herb rice topped with mussels, dory nuggets, scallops and a bowl of curry with bread on the side.
Sizzling bananas fritters with ice cream.
Icy hot fish bananas.
Sizzling brownie with ice cream. * Thumbs Up*

Portion wise, except for the desserts; they are generous. We shared the above dishes and there were 7 of us and were really full.

However, for desserts.. bear in mind, the portion served will be much more smaller and less epic in presentation than what you see in the menu.

    Yee sang darn price nowadays. Half portion two three years ago was already costing rm30 plus. Saw in some restaurant selling rm100 plus for full portion.Lucky me this year. Anay pass me a box of yee sang.

    After reading your earlier post, I was hoping the waiters would spill curry on my pants too!

    Normally the yee sang dishes would drown all the tastes of salmon and other raw fishes inside.

    wah, banyaknya makanan!!

    i've been to Manhattan Fish Market and i would say it's rather a challenge to finish up the main dishes, especially those with rice and deep fried stuffs..

    Love the food especially the mains. I bought yee sang too, then top up with salmon pieces from sushi takeaway place :P

    Wow! Manhattan also jump on the yee sang bandwagon? I was already perplexed when I saw those Japanese food chain offering yee sang.

    I haven't been to Manhattan for a very long time. Good to hear that their portions are still large!

      It's just a fancy name for banana fritters shaped like fish cakes and served with ice cream though. LOL
