Great Deal With La Maison Restaurant, Silka Lunch Savers

After my 10K run in Energy Efficiency Run which was held in Putrajaya on Saturday morning, Hubby and I rushed back home without spending time with friends post-run there.

He had to work that Saturday morning and I decided it would be nice to head over to town for lunch later, with Son in tow of course. ^^

Our lunch "date" that Saturday was at Silka Maytower Hotel located in Jalan Munshi Abdullah. We got there early which allowed us to browse through the stores and stalls around Masjid India before Son & I head for lunch later at 1.00pm. Have to say, it's been ages since I last visited this part of town.

Silka Maytower Hotel's La Maison Restaurant is having a lunch saver promotion on-going and it sure is a good deal. It's available daily from 12.00pm to 2.30pm and priced at RM21.90 nett per set.
It was nice for us to have lunch there, not only for the good deal but also for the relaxed ambiance of the restaurant.
For the Silka Lunch Savers set, there were 9 tantalising main dishes for selection and it comes with a free flow of beverage of the day (we had ice lemon tea), appetizers, soup and desserts from the buffet line.

But on weekends, we ordered our appetizers, soup and desserts and they were served to our table instead. That sure made the lunch felt much more relaxed and I felt kinda pampered too. All for RM21.90 per set. Hahaha

Dishes ranges from Western and Local favourites so we had a variety of pasta dishes, chicken & fish dishes and Malaysian favourites to choose from.
We were served mushroom soup as part of the set.
Salad with thousand island dressing for appertizers.

And the main dishes.... *drum roll*
The first main dish that arrived was this Cantonese Fried Noodles with Seafood. We could also choose a ginger and beef gravy instead of seafood.
For those who must have rice, this Malaysian Fried with Satay sure can fill their tummies! Fried rice with a fried egg on top, two satay with acar and sambal belacan on the side.
A good mix of protein with this Lemon Chicken and Pasta dish.
Son's favourite was this Chicken Chop served on a bed of fries. He had the option of mushroom or black pepper sauce. He had it with mushroom sauce.
My favourite was the Seafood Aglio Olio. Really generous portion (the rest of the dishes served had generous portion too) and this sure would be perfect for a carboloading session before a long run or race for me! ^^

Proud to say (heh!) we managed to wipe clean all our plates and still have room for desserts. As the buffet counter wasn't opened during weekends, our desserts were served to our table.
 Some fruits.
And for me and my sweet tooth, Sago with Gula Melaka topped with Yam Ice-cream. It was just perfect for me. Not too sweet. Not too heavy either.

A perfect close for a nice, leisurely weekend lunch.

I wish we had booked a room there too. It would be nice to have a long lunch, then proceed to relax in a nice comfy hotel room, right? Hehehe

Maybe next time, when I have a race nearby at Dataran Merdeka. Maybe during Standard Chartered KL Marathon? We walked from the hotel toward Central Market after our lunch and it certainly wasn't that far.

Those coming in a group can have a good deal with the Silka Lunch Savers too. Groups of 20 pax and above will receive a complimentary cake. Now, how about a birthday celebration at La Maison Restaurant? However, do book 3-days in advance, OK? ^^

For frequent diners at La Maison Restaurant, there's a Buy 10 Get 1 Free promotion too. Collect 10 stamps on the La Maison Restaurant Rewards card and receive a free Set Lunch. I likeyyyyy.

p.s. Hubby is actually drooling over their Dinner Indulgence promotion  of Sizzling Lamb Cutlet and Rib Eye Steak set (which come with appetizers, Iced Lemon Tea and Dessert too) for only RM33.00 nett per set.

We totally should find time for dinner there one day!
