It's Sanma Season!
I saw a sanma (pacific saury) promotion at one of the restaurants in Gardens Mall and it reminded me. 'Tis the season for sanma!
Autumn.
A season for mushrooms.
Chestnuts.
And sanma.
All the things I love.
And of course we get to enjoy them when we visited Japan in September!
I think I should buy some and cook them when it's on sale at Aeon.
It's so easy to cook. Just salt and grill.
Sometimes, we enjoyed them with a kicap with shallots on the side, instead of shoyu and grated daikon. ^^
I love sanma too!!! Sweet and delicious.
ReplyDeleteHi-5! :)
Deleteoh sanma comes in autumn, now I know..
ReplyDeleteno wonder it's name in Chinese literally translates to "Autumn knife fish".. so it's an autum kind of fish, and knife because of its shape I guess??
