Nohana Ikan Bakar In Kerteh

It was an impromptu decision for us to travel from Kuantan to Kerteh during our second day of vacation.

After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel (buffet was served but all were served by the hotel's chef and staff behind glass/plastic panel), we head out with the intention of going to Cherating Beach then onward to Pantai Teluk Mak Nik to enjoy some Sotong Celup Tepung and Satar at Warung Aziz Satar.

Somehow, we continued on until we reached Kerteh. With Warung Aziz Satar still in mind, we intended to just make a rest stop at McD in Kerteh for a cup of coffee before heading back to Kemaman. But as luck would have it, we stumbled across an Ikan Bakar shop by the beach and made an impulse decision to stop there.

We arrived just before the lunchtime so the lunch crowd wasn't in full force yet. The owner was there, doing live FB updates, promoting the spread of the day.

Lucky us, we got there early because the shop was packed soon after!
We didn't have to wait long for our order to arrive.
We ordered Bawal and Sotong for our lunch and enjoyed it with some ulam and sambals that are available.

(Rice, ulam and sambal are self-served. Air balang too. )

Lunch was good, the seafood were indeed fresh and sweet and the staff at the Ikan Bakar shop quite friendly. All for less than RM50 too!

So thumbs up.

Anyway, Warung Aziz Satar and its delicious satar had to wait another day.

    1. Lucky we only took a small portion of rice. We were so kenyang after enjoying both the ikan and Sotong bakar.

    1. Satar or saya is spiced fish meat wrapped in banana leaves and cooked on a grill.

      It's delicious.

If you visit Terengganu, you must try it.
