Runcation - Pahang Eco Beach Run 2020

There's an interesting race in Kuantan, Pahang that caught our eyes. It's called the Pahang Eco Beach Run and will be held on Apr 12, 2020.
Pahang Eco Beach Run 2020 race course traverses through the white sandy beach and beautiful pine trees line the coast, with some rocky promontories facing the incessant waves of the South China Sea and beautiful trails of Bukit Pelindung.

The race will start and finish at Teluk Cempedak, there will be variety of surface waiting for runners. Tarmac, beach and trail.

Now, we don't often get to run on all sort of surfaces so we're quite excited to join the event and visit Kuantan too!

I've even booked Hyatt Kuantan for us to stay and relax, after we finished our race. The hotel is just steps away from the race site, after all.

There are three race distance available, 6K, 15K and 30K.

Let's have a look at the course and elevation if you can't decide which distance to register for.
The 6K category covers tarmac and trail section and has a COT of 3 hour 15 minutes.
The 15K category covers tarmac, beach and a little bit of trail section. With a COT 3 hours 30 minutes, this is a good option for those trying out new distance and trail run.
The 30K category has everything and with a challenge towards the end of the run. Tarmac, beach and a whole 8K worth of trail with a COT of 8 hours.
For the 30K finishers, this "DNF" finisher tee will be waiting for them.

Also, all finishers get a "sotong" medal.

For more information on the race, you can visit:

We've registered to do the 30K category so whoever is joining, see you there!

  2. There is staycation and now runcation! In fact staycation and runcation can go hand in hand. It will be quite challenging running on sand, right?

    1. Ya, kinda hard if the sand is too soft.
      But it's a good challenge.
