Back To School Shopping!

Gah! It's so expensive to prepare for the new school year that will start on Jan 3rd, 2011. I have only one school-going child and just buying the uniforms for and stationeries  already set me back a few hundred $$$$. We still need to buy him his Boy Scout uniform, school bag, Religious School uniforms.... the list is still long!

Zaini and I took the opportunity shopping for the school items during Jusco MidValley's J-Card Members' day just so we can at least get more saving by being able to redeem the Jusco vouchers after our shopping session done. The vouchers and whatever cashback from my credit card sure helps adding up to the savings.

Have you done your own shopping for the New Year yet?

    Yeah, I've heard laments from colleagues with school-going children. The bonus is a big help for some. Happy shopping!

    oh yeah, it definitely needs a lot of money when school starts.. uniforms, stationeries, books and all sorts of fees..

    i remember during my time (of course it's long long long long time ago), at least have to spend RM300 when the school starts for all those things.. scary..

    It's the same thing every year when it's back to school time.. I'm sure I'll be feeling the same when I have kids some day.. Oh, I just shop during sales.. Warehouse sales or Malaysia Grand Sale.. Hehe..

    I am always blisffully ignorant how much my parents had to fork our for me once shool starts. But I know it cost much more as I studied in a boarding school. All those bedsheets to change apart from uniforms and whatnots. :D

    For me it's even worse. I celebrate Christmas and that means I have Christmas expenses plus school expenses ... *faints* ...

    So soon it's back to school already.
    I think it's getting more expensive each year to get our kids ready for school. Prices of everything keeps going up. :(
