First School Holiday Of 2013
A week off (the first break for the year, discounting the Chinese New Year break). After a week of tests. The first test for 2013. Two weeks ago, Raimie sat for the 1st Monthly Test for his Sekolah Kebangsaan and last week it was a week of tests at his Sekolah Agama. A total of 8 papers for the Sekolah Agama and 14 papers for Sekolah Kebangsaan. *wipe sweat* Not that the boy looked anything stressed though.
He was allowed to have a free weekend last week, which means that he didn't do any revisions at home so he was spared from this scenario
for a while, at least.
After all, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy...
So this boy had fun too.
He's into chess now. We got him a dinky chess set some months ago, and the boy is still happy playing with them. He is so easily satisfed, unlike his Mommy. heh heh
Trust his Mommy and Daddy to make him enjoy some fresh air and get moving too. He needs to go for a jog too. ;)
He went walking in KL with Daddy today.
Mommy is on leave tomorrow and she is open to suggestions from him as where to go.
p.s. Enjoy the school holiday, to both school kids and their parents too! :)
aiyoh!! 14 papers to sit for in his monthly test in school?? are there that many subjects for the kids nowadays?? oh BTW, is Raimie going for his UPSR this year??
ReplyDeleteAla... BM, BI, Maths got two papers each. Then Arabic, Kemahiran Hidup, Sivik, Kajian Tempatan, Music, Agama & PJK. ;p
DeleteHe's sitting for UPSR next year. He baru standard 5 this year. :)
Of course the core subjects are only 5 la. ;)
Deletebut still cannot compare with my high school lah.. we have like tests every two weeks, and then exams every quarter, and then mid-year and year-end exams!! i wonder how i survived!! :D
DeleteLucky SK is such a bright boy. Exam stress also can still come out unscathed and excel some more. :)
Deleteis it still UPSR now BTW?? hahaha, forgive Uncle SK if that's already the dated syllabus, it was more than 20 years ago~~ :D
ReplyDeleteoh yeah, the first school holidays for 2013 and it's just one week long.. how i wish it could be longer so that the traffic to/off work will be smoother, haha!!
ReplyDeleteWait till end of May and then you get to enjoy two-week of jam free morning. Hahaha
Deletei always say Raimie is such a good boy.. though the only kid at home, he is not spoilt at all but then behaves so well.. you have brought him up so well lah, he does what his mum has missed last time, hahaha!!
ReplyDeleteI dunno la...
DeleteHe can be quite lazy just like his Mommy when she was his age. Though at least not as bad a procrastinator like Mommy! LOL
Good Mommy, allowing Raimie to take a break. No books! :D
ReplyDeleteA few days break.
DeleteAfter this, workbooks must do again.
He doesn't go to tuition classes so no choice must study at home when free too.
oh, so the parents taking leave in turns to spend quality time with the kid?? how nice!! so mana pigi besok?? and friday both take leave to enjoy quality happy family time together??
ReplyDeleteI am tempted ajak him go jogging! LOL
DeleteOr go to a mall where I can buy running gears.
So selfish right? LOL
He doesn't confirm anything yet but I'm hoping we'll go out instead of staying at home. ;)
stay at home spending quality time also good lah.. maybe mom and son cook together while waiting for dad to be home.. do something easy and invokes the kid's creativity like PIZZA!! haha, stop ordering delivery~~ :D
DeleteCannot. Stay at home a few hours can la... but so sayang to stay at home whole day. That, normal weekend also can do. hehehe
DeleteI'm helping Domino's to gain more profit mah! LOL
Wow, they have that much exams in school these days? I would have freaked out! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThough I kinda wish sometimes my son would freak out. He's too relaxed for his own good.
Delete#mommyressure
huhuhu
yalah.. if teachers only teach one subject, then why students need to learn all the subjects?? not fair right?? :D
DeleteBut wait... all my teachers in MRSM only teaches/specialises in one subject wor... :)
Deletekekeke
good to have school holidays..how I wish I'm still in school teaching.
ReplyDeleteIf you are still teaching, do you need to help out at the shop too, during school holiday?
DeleteThat would be more tiring. ;)
These days, some schools...holiday also extra class...and teachers give lots of homework. No life lah, poor kids nowadays. Lost childhood and hence all the social problems on the rise.
ReplyDeleteOf course lah...
DeleteAsk most parents. No send to extra classes, later cannot keep up in studies. No A, no good. Shame to the family. xD
Who cares about social ills. Just as long as kids got straight A. Do anything wrong also never mind. AS LONG AS GOT STRAIGHT As.... :(
You are so lucky and blessed to have such a good son! My wife often complained that the kids in her college are spoilt brats!!! I pity their parents!
ReplyDeleteBut for kids to turned into a spoiled brat, don't you think it's due to their upbringing. Either raised or not raised by their own parents?
DeleteYour son is so easily contented with anything! He can even play by himself. That is very good lah.
ReplyDeleteYou know how some rotten kids in private schools and colleges behave? They must go overseas for holidays even for 1 week break. Sial!
Again, up to their upbringing mah...
DeleteYour boy looked so gaya and handsome at the 3rd photo!! If pompuan naik motor and passed him, they sure langgar tiang after admire him! Muahahahaha
ReplyDeleteLOL at anay's comment ^.^
DeleteMore Raimie photos = happy Tokyo auntie. :D
ReplyDeletePS: I look at him sitting on a tile floor in short pants and I start shivering. It's still so COLD in Tokyo! I went on a cherry blossom walkpedition this morning and I wore a down jacket. Brr.
Here, hot weather + cold tiles = heaven. ^_~
DeleteSummer's coming. August. Cold bath = lifesaver. ;)
DeleteA trip into the mountains!
DeleteWaterfall!
You gonna go/do it? ;)
So nice of you to take a day off to spend some quality time with Raimie. He is such a good boy. Handsome too.
ReplyDeleteIt makes him happy... So why not? ;)
DeleteSo far, I brought my girls to watch movie twice. Last night, we watch The Croods. Nice!
ReplyDeleteHow nice.
DeleteThey must be very happy.
I let my son go watch movies with hubby if he wants it but I don't really like movies myself. Itchy want to move a lot. LOL
My girls have no test before the break, they mid year exam in May that I am afraid of. So, I still let them do some work books every day.
ReplyDeleteThey still have sports during the holiday, as the table tennis and swimming lesson are still one.
Delete*still on.
DeleteI will let them more TV in school holiday. I also plan to do crafts with them. I hope I have time.
Your daughters will have their time well spent. :)
