This Week's Crafts Time
Son loves arts and crafts.
They might not be "art-class" high standard as he mostly learnt making stuff by watching Art Attack on TV or on the Youtube. He also can be quite high-minded about doing it ALL by himself. We can give ideas and comments about what he's doing BUT in no certain terms are we (that's me and hubby) allowed to touch or help him.
A papier mache hedgehog pencil holder. Cannot see the head though. Hahaha
Uncle SK... Son does love to play with colours. ^^
So your boy loves Art like anay! How about sending him to study graphics design in future? They just need to get a Diploma in Graphic Design to earn same salary with a fresh bachelor degree holder! Gaji lumayan, Mak gembira melayang!
ReplyDeleteBaik Anay! :)
DeleteBut gaji lumayan, bukan girlfriend yang more gembira? LOL
Amboi! The 2nd photo, he senyum very manis and hensem la! Are they Uncle SK's pencils???
ReplyDeleteRaimie definitely reminds me of myself when i was still a kid.. now i remember how i spent my holidays back then.. staying at home doing arts and crafts that was!! oh, rendezvous~~
ReplyDeleteUncle SK still has fun with arts & crafts now. He is so talented. ^^
Deletevery true, you feel proud and contented with what you have done.. and feel even more happy if the person whom you give that to loves it and appreciates it!! now that's when giving is more blessed than receiving, the chinese saying~~ :)
DeleteSK is such a sage. :)
Deletedefinitely i was all alone with my art gears, and not even anyone to give comments or suggestions either, it's all for my own hands from my very own imagination.. but lucky to say, most of the times, the result looked pretty nice!! :D
ReplyDeletepapier mache hedgehog pencil holder.. errr, what a sophisticated name lah, haha!! i won't bother to name my crafts actually, but it's good for Raimie to name it to show that he is really appreciating what he was doing.. good, no need to go far away for holidays, this boy is certainly easily contented.. :)
ReplyDeleteYes he is pretty much a non-demanding boy.
DeleteMommy and Daddy is lucky we have such a good boy. :)
playing with colors, that is good!! at least it shows that his sight is perfect without color blindness, haha!! *just joking lah* from the color he used, you can actually tell his mood.. bright red and bright green, and a little bit of blue also?? surely shows his happy mood..
ReplyDeleteso where is that papier mache hedgehog pencil holder now?? on Mak Rempinator's desk at work?? hahahaha~~ :D
ReplyDeleteNow that's a good idea!
DeleteI must ask him to make one for me. ;)
That one he uses himself la.
That's nice. Reminds me of the time I made a pencil holder using the cylindrical tubes when all the toilet paper's used up. Put on my table in school and soon everybody was making their own - everyone trying to outdo the other...and some came up with photo frames some more. Tak nak kalah! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteRecycle and re-use. LOL
DeleteHandsome Raimie comes up with his own pencil holder? Must put trademark or copyright , or else those craft bloggers come and steal the idea, then claim it's theirs :p
ReplyDeleteLOL
DeleteHow to trademark? He also learnt it from TV show. :P
I like Art Attack but never tried to do as shown. I only watched and that's it! I'm such a lazy bum.
ReplyDeleteWell, me too!
DeleteArt Attack was on since we were in school right? With Neil Buchanan as the host. I still can remember his name! LOL
But I also didn't do much.
For one, last time it was hard to get the artsy stuff in my hometown. Ask from mother, sure kena scold.
I really admire Raimie's hair. Very neat and smart looking boy. He smiles like you too, sweet.
ReplyDeleteArt Attack very creative in making many kinds of art and craft. My son watch it too.
ReplyDeleteWorth to watch. Myself also interested with the craft ideas as well.
Delete"papier mache hedgehog" pencil holder - canggih namanya. So he did that for himself? or a gift for his dad?
ReplyDeletefunny how you said it's a canngih name.
DeleteThe technique is papier mache. He made the shape using newspaper that is turned into pulp.
Hedgehog is well... hedgehog la. Put pencil then it become the thorns. :P
He didn't do it specifically for anyone. He has lots of stuff that he does every weekn anyway.
Independence is a fine characteristic! :D Go for it, Raimie!
ReplyDeletePS: I was going to suggest a chocolate holder, but then I realized it would defeat the purpose: it would always be empty ...
I wish he can independently do his homework or clean his room without getting nagged though. :-D
DeleteYeah, a choc holder would be great but what's the point. LOL
Art Attack - how nostalgic! I remember watching the show and trying to do somethng with ideas too. Didn't know the show is still running!
ReplyDeleteDifferent host now, of course.
Delete& hubby's ex-schoolmate is the Malaysian art attack host. ^_^
ahem ahem...can bagi suggestion ka?
ReplyDeletetu pencils can terbalik put ka? kinda takut also if tercucuk mata...so sharp leh
Deleteyea no need art class la. Just from TV , internet and youtube can find a lot of nice things to make
DeletePut terbalik not jadi hedgehog.
DeleteBit yala, a bit dangerous bit never mind lor... my house no smallkids
