My Running Companion Photos
of his precious, precious bike... taken in Putrajaya, along the route I usually take when I do my runs there. I occassionally run in Putrajaya and sometimes, my companion would take out his bike and cycle alongside me and keeping me company.
Other times, he'd just walk around and waited for me at the car within our agreed time. After all, the Putrajaya core island (where Presint 2, 3, 4 & 18 is located) is quite big to explore. Or when the mood suits him, he'd cycle alone or with some fellow foldies buddies he met there.
My guy is not the "hearts and flowers" kind of guy, but I'm very much happy with the gestures he did for me! One of them is being patient enough to cycle slowly for two hours and wait for me!
He doesn't like me posting stuff about him and "elevating" him into this nice guy image (his words exactly) but since when do I really listen to him? heh heh Though I have to say, it's so hot when he acts all protective over me. ^^
Anyhoo, some photos of his precious bike (got it in Japan, no less).
At the start of our running/walking/cyling route. This is near Putrajaya Holdings building and overlooking Masjid Putra. Seems like a popular spot for photographers trying to catch sunrise photos. Further in the background is the Prime Minister's Office.
Come later in the morning and for the rest of the day, that area will be swarming with tourists. Cars & buses loads of them.
We passed this Seri Gemilang bridge a few times. Once at this side and going under the bridge. Then, at the other side (at the side where Putrajaya International Convention Centre is at) - under once and we went over it twice.
and here, overlooking Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside hotel; at the Water Sports Complex. With the sun already high up in the sky, it was so tempting for me to jump in the lake and cool off! You can cool-off at the nearby public pool there at Presint 6 or you can have a picnic by the lakeside or play at the small man-made beach area there too!
There won't be any running there in Putrajaya for me for the rest of September, as I'll have Adidas King of The Road run this Sunday, Taiping Marathon next Sunday and Salomon X-Trail at the end of the month! I guess I'll be seeing Putrajaya again in October. After all, I have Putrajaya Night Marathon in October! Half-marathon though, not a full marathon for me! ^^

My wife is so tempted to buy a folding bike now. I pening!
DeleteShe got her MTB already right? Still want a foldie?

Talking about running and biking, I'm going to hide in that corner (for not knowing anything about them!).
DeleteSo looking forwards to your run in Taiping. I am really excited how is our first time meeting up. We must take lots of pictures, lina.

Deletelina, when you are in Taiping, go run around in that beautiful Taiping Lake Garden lah.. and then go and collect our Taiping biscuits after that~~ :p
DeleteI think the route will make me run at the Lake Garden, if I'm not mistaken.
DeleteHahaha... sure want me to collect your biscuits after I did my run and all sweaty? Later my sweat add more flavour to your biscuits, how? kekeke
hehehehe, unless you unwrapped all them and drip your sweat in lah.. wah, your sweat must be some potion to make us all listen to you obediently later!! :D
DeleteNow, you are giving me ideas!
DeleteWe can meet on 16 Sept after your run. Ok or not? Let me check with Ah Hua and confirm again. We can go to see you at Fleminton Hotel.

ReplyDeleteAwal Oct - 2 minggu tu. Nak? But I'm planning to do just 16K steady runs lah...
DeleteRoute lebih kurang the one in my previous post tu. Mesti panjat PICC & Jambatan Seri Gemilang for hill training. kekeke
wokey!! agreed!
Deleteu dah ada whatsapp? whatsapp je ok. hehe
Wokeh!
DeleteHmmm......your hubby really nice la. Dont run but still cycle side by side :)
ReplyDeleteGuess running really makes the two of you closer la
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of things that makes us closer... running (well, me running that is) and him waiting is one of them. ^^
DeleteEvery night also close close la, ahem itu~~ kekekeke!
DeleteI have yet to visit Putrajaya, heard it is very crowded. Must visit it the next time.
ReplyDeleteOn the contrary... I dn't see it crowded, unless you visit a festival of some kind being held there.
DeletePutrajaya during a normal weekend can be blissfully devoid (almost) of crowd.
If I were Zaini I will take a rotan and piak piak piak u..
ReplyDeleteCepat cepat... So can train you run faster...
Kakaka... Or maybe carry a petai from behind and let you chase it..
Kakaka...
Cannot. Bring rotan later run also not finished, lain pulak jadinya. bwahaha!!!
DeletePut leng chai in front lah... the one Yan was ogling at today. Sure I run fast one! ;p
yalah, bring rotan and leather whip then ended up both ahem-ahem at one tempat tersembunyi at the discreet precinct of putrajaya only~~ :D
DeleteCannot lah. Putrajaya banyak CCTV! We checked already! Even under bridge got! Bwahaha
Deleteeven more shyiok with CCTV watching!!! that's exciting how you try to take angles to avoid seeing your face, fuyoh~~ :p
DeleteNanti story jadi lain, piak piak running gadis, masuk CCTV, ended up in youtube.
DeleteMuka hamsem Zaini jadi popular dengan cerita hangat!
Wah you really seems to be very busy on your run huh...
ReplyDeleteSo many schedule....
Where got busy. ;p
DeleteAnyways, Zaini is quite free this month so that's why I entered 3 races in September. xD
Back to normal once a month schedule for Oct & Nov. ;)
the two extra is bonus for you for ramadhan and syawal lah.. hehehe!!!
DeleteMy wife used to joing everyone marathon and cylcling inter state!! Goodness she slowed down now from exhaustion!
DeleteI belum marathon standard. Slowly easing myself to half marathon first. Let's see whether I can go crazy and do a marathon in 2013!
DeleteShe slowed down and you have less naps in car waiting for you? ;)
hehehe, what a sweet post to the nice guy huh?? when he says he doesn't want to be elevated, the people tend to associate him more to the nice guy image, hahahaha~~
ReplyDeletethat foldie bike looks very handsome lah.. maybe even raimie can ride that as well huh?? sure kuasa to him when he grows up later lah~~
DeleteBodek post... so can ask more favour in future! wakaka
Deleteyalah.. help me to find IT friends or your IT department people to do my questionnaire lah boleh?? :p
DeleteI can pass the questionaire... maybe to the Boss and force him to make his staff reply.
DeleteBila due?

DeleteDunno the powder effective or not... let's see ah... ^^
DeleteGadis, you spilled this is a bodek post. Tak takut Zaini baca and no effective already? Kakaka!
DeleteOne day I must go putrajaya for some jog..
ReplyDeleteThen go alamanda makan makan...
SP, you main purpose to go for some jog is to MAKAN after that lor.. raise your butt we all know you wanted to fart~~ :p
DeleteAlamanda got nice place to makan meh??
DeleteBut if you go there, drop by at Miyagi at Bandar Baru Bangi to eat some nice and affordable Japanese food there. Quite near, if you know the way to get there from Putrajaya. :)
worry nothing, got one thing call GPS or Google Maps mah in the SMARTPHONE~~ :p
DeleteLupa pulak. I baru pakai smartphone mah... not used to it yet. Not like you all. wakaka
DeleteOo~~ smartphone got maps one ka?? I'm also novice like gadis, wakakaka!

DeleteHahaha...
DeleteYou two are wishing me with hidden agenda lah...
To make sure I come back from Taiping and bring back your goodies! LOL
i actually just wanted to show that i can read this SP's mind lah~~ :p
DeleteSK,
DeleteI think you read his mind well! xD
oh, did i read that correctly?? you have three runs in this month?? finally the nice guy has granted your wish to have more runs in a month??
ReplyDeleteor maybe that's just to compensate for the no-run ramadhan month??
DeleteIt's a compensation... but not because of Ramadhan month. ;p
Deletehehehehehe.. not compensation but i think more of a trade for more ahem-ahem~~ aiyah, coughing so badly recently!! :D
DeletePoor SK. Throat very itchy izit? muekeke
Deleteyou will be missing putrajaya for a month?? haha, i think i have not been to putrajaya for more than 5 times.. the last time i went was like 2 years ago at least, went to see customers.. and if for leisure, sure more than 3 years ago~~
ReplyDeleteAiyoh! From your place to Putrajaya is so far. Understandable lah.
DeleteFrom my place to Putrajaya is only about 12km. Better than needing to travel to KL Lake Garden.
And running there is nice... at least I don't have to contend with stray dogs in Putrajaya.
My housing area now has two new strays and the two dogs made it difficult for me to do my hill intervals... :(
yalah, you must fully utilize Putrajaya facilities, because you have "chipped in" so much money to that place~~
DeleteTrue.
DeleteWe all chipped in. Fully utilise lah. xD
Love all the pics with the bike in it. It's so expensive to get that bike here.
ReplyDeleteNow got cheapo ones already.
DeleteAnd that's why my hubby hates going out with his foldie nowadays... he doesn't want to be compared as similar as those using those cheapo foldie. wakaka
Nice bike (well, of course, it's Japanese!), very nice hubby, nice photos. ^^
ReplyDeleteWhy don't I see any fishermen in the photos? :D
Simple. No fishing! xD
DeleteIt's not a Japanese brand (it's a Hummer bike) but can't find a Hummer bike here hence the lure of him getting it!
He want to buy a Brompton bike... no need to go to UK. There's a Brompton shop in Kobe! ;)
You didn't buy a Japanese bike?!
DeleteCollapses in horror.
(^0^)
Ah, Brompton. Everybody wants a Brompton, but they're not exactly cheap. Perhaps the price of three pairs of running shoes? :p
so nice of your hubby to ride beside you while you run..
ReplyDeleteHe only does it if he knows I'm trying a new route and I'm doing a very loooong run. He doesn't say it but I think he worries about me. ^^
DeleteI like the way you snapped the photos of the bike posing in different areas! Looks better than a human posing here and there! Something new to me!
ReplyDeleteNext time I put my kasut here and there to take photos!
Zaini took all those photos.
DeleteMuch better than taking my huffing and puffing face running the route, right? kakaka
My hubb thinks I'm very well-independent. He just let me do things I like.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I miss being protective T__T
Hello Bicycle! Bye Bicycle :P
