Meeting Generous Blogger In Taiping
So yeah. I went to Taiping last weekend to run in the abysmally organised Taiping International Marathon. Race organisation was bad but somehow I had fun running in Taiping. And walking. And eating. Not to mention being able to meet two lovely bloggers there; Yvonne and Yan.
Very ladylike pose. hur hur I look so dark sandwiched between these two fair ladies. Shouldn't have spent 4 hours under the sun earlier in the morning. xD
We ditched our husbands and our kids and the two gals picked me up from the hotel I was staying in and immediately whisked me away for lunch. But not before handing over some souvenirs for me and for some very lucky KL bloggers. SK contacted me already. Meow too. How come SP and Tan Sri Anay Kim still so quiet? Waiting for Meow to purrrr is it? Kekeke
Can't remember the outlet's name but Yan or Yvonne knows so can ask them lah... hehehe
Drinks arrived first. Got coconut, cucumber something something and apple juice.
We shared makan and first we got the black pepper udon. Yummy.
Must be healthy and eat vegetables so we ordered caesar salad. Crispy and not limp vegetables. ;p
Lamb steak or something. The two gals so naughty and made me finished this! They helped a bit only! Naughty naughty! LOL
This was the Vietnamese roll, right? Nice. I like this.
and Mee Siam! Yummy and spicy.
We spent the lunch time talking and gossiping about fellow bloggers so if you guys and gals sneezed or coughed a lot on Sunday, must be us talking about you lah! LOL
Then, the gals whisked me to another makan place and we went here
to eat cendol and pasembor
Sluurrrrpppp...
and they even tapaued some cendols and pasembor for Zaini and Raimie too! Such generous ladies. With so much to eat, I wonder how the two ladies can fit more food as they both had big dinner plans that evening too!
I had a great time with the two ladies. Not only did they treat me for a nice lunch and snack; they even got us (me and the HHBC members something too)!
Thank you Yan & Yvonne! Your hospitality was superb! Can't wait to reciprocate when you two come down to KL! As I mentioned, the other HHBC members can treat you for non-halal makan and I treat you with halal one. ^^
Also, I didn't blog about it before but I also want to say big big thank you to Meow and Wenn for their generousity. They kept on giving me stuff and I do really need to do the same for them!
Thanks for the petai, salak fruit, jeruk salak plus all the yummy chocolates Meow! You are one generous kitty cat! ^^
To Wenn too, for always sending me goodies! :)
Wahhh, they were really generous and that kamceng both virtually and in real world, kak Lina... Truly 1Malaysia hospitality, 1st class!
ReplyDeleteLots of goodies n freebies for U and all the HHBC members.. U ladies clicked instantly with all those makan2 stuffs... Super cool!
Still wanna know what`s the name of the restaurant that U gurls went in Taiping.. Looks very scrumptious.. Yummeh...
The restaurant name is Prima Cafe :D
DeleteOperated by a Chinese family but they serve halal food. Taiping businessmen very clever ones, they want more businesses so they will apply for the halal certificate ;)
very true lah.. seeing non-halal food can serve an additional 67% percent of customers.. why not?? :p
DeleteThere is a place in Taiwan also called Taiping...all clever people there too.
DeleteEezard,
DeleteThey are super duper friendly people. Syok kan kalau dpt meet up with virtual friends and feel can ngam with them? ^^
Guys,
But serve halal food less untung. No babi. No alcohol. xD
Prima Cafe ek? Will google about it later... doesn`t matter non malay cafe, as long as they sell halal only food..
DeleteI memang hantu kambing, lamb chop my fave`s ever.. Yummeh! hehee... Y&Y sisterhood rocks! hehee...
Kak Lina, i pon abes kulit2 jari mengelupas after the run, gosh.. Soo hot that day! Lucky we survived... hahaa
Taiping still has a few halal cafe are quite nice too, such as The Gate, LA Promise, Panorama, and Nagaria.
DeleteI think those taiping restaurant is good.. at least it runs by malaysian ,, not those nepalese, bangla or etc..
DeleteYa... and must support lah like that... until they start hiring foreigners who can barely understand us! xD
DeleteOO i must remember this plavce name . Food looks so good...
DeleteYou go there, just ask the Y&Y sistas to drive you over there lah. ;p
DeleteI always have black pepper udon when I visit that cafe! Highly recommended~
ReplyDeleteNot forgetting the mee siam~
DeleteBut it's too spicy for my liking >.<
but i don't like black pepper lah.. many times those black pepper something something, put so many black pepper, make the dish so spicy and shadowed the original taste of the food.. so i don't like~~
DeleteOh, you should try this. It's not that spicy and you will ask for more after a spoonful ^.^
DeleteYalah SK.
DeleteThe black pepper udon very nice. Black pepper taste very subtle and not overpowering at all. Later you go there, ask Yvonne belanja this. ;p
Mee Siam, my favourite la! Next year, lina you come again, we bring to other places.
Deleteblack pepper udon .. okie I shall put in my list.. akakakak
Deleteblack pepper udon ah? I had it once in KL but it's not nice :(

ReplyDeleteThe 3 sistas looked like Oreo Cookies together!
DeleteI don't use flash with my camera one. Tadak suka. xD
DeleteOreo cookies ah TM? Can lick lick before ngap! wakaka
Why oreo cookies? This TM very funny one.

Deleteno lah, mana ada Mat Salleh?? looks like Mak Rempit lah, hahaha~~
DeleteWoit! xD
Deletewah the Y&Y Sista surely feed you with all the nice food in Taiping huh?? wow, so you had that whole portion of lamb chop ALL BY YOURSELF??
ReplyDeleteThe lamb chop's serving is very small only, no problem for anak gadis macam Lina to finish the whole plate~
DeleteMoreover she had run 21km in the morning, all calories had been burnt, kering kontang. Must input again.
Hehehe macamlah 21K tu like so real lari one, burn a bit calories then masuk a whole lot! wakaka No wonder I never slim down. ;p

ReplyDeleteKakakaka! We are very good in our persuasive skill~
DeleteOr maybe the food was really delicious! Sekali makan, tak boleh berhenti~
That whole day, I ate like a cow. So I forced myself to work out more rajin in the gym. Until today, I still dare not weigh my weight.
DeleteI learn a skill from the ladies..
Deletewhen go out for makan .. the ladies sure will ask you just order le and we will eat..
so when we order a lot the ladies will just eat a bit and the guys have to eat evrything....
Yes! That's why we have boyfriends and husbands! wakaka!!!
Deleteyou all each have a dish or just share out? So much food how to finish

ReplyDeleteSK, you need to quickly go to find Lina to get your goodies bag. Otherwise the biscuits will "masuk angin" if left too long. Not that fresh anymore.
DeleteSK...
DeleteYour bling bling very cute one. Hurry hurry come! ;p
yalah, it's like whenever bloggers meet, then must have gifts for each other.. is this a tradition ah?? aiyah, die lah.. i never did that before lah.. people give me so many things, i never give back pulak.. luckily at least i still got the monthly giveaway for the commenters, not considered that bad lah hor??

ReplyDeleteTukar plan. Makan at kopitiam instead.
