Brooks Shoes And Brooks Half Marathons

Two of them, as a matter of fact.

I went to the Curve on Saturday to collect a pair of shoes that I won with the "Blog with Brooks" and helped a friend to collect his too as he was away, running a race in Singapore.

Winners with Brooks representative. Three lucky bloggers won the Transcend model. That's a RM759.00 a pair shoes! Lucky fellas.

Me and my (much cheaper) Pure Flow 3 shoes that I won. Still happy. I like Brooks' Pure Project range. 

But dang! Gonna be hard to match the shoes with my outfit! LOL

Me and Andy, from Brooks Malaysia. Such a leng-chai, hor? hehehe Me? I looked like I just finished shopping with those two bags of shoes, right? 

The prize-giving was done on March 1st, which was also the day of REPC for Brooks Half-Marathon in Bukit Jalil which will be held on Mar 9th.

Quite a subdued crowd so race kit collection was a breeze, I guess. Maybe the crowd will pick up on Sunday?

I didn't sign-up for the race because of the prohibitively high fees so I just went kaypoh at the "expo" area looking at stuff that were sold.

Zaini came after work and we went and kaypohed again. He met a few familiar faces while I went around snapping photos. 

There's also a registration counter open for Brooks Kuantan Half-Marathon. Registration for the event/race is still open and the race will be held on May 11th. 

There aren't that many races in the East Coast so if you are looking for a panoramic race in Pahang, why not try this half-marathon? After run, can relax by the beach there. ^^

I was tempted to join as it'll be held in my home state, Pahang but I've already registered for the Kuala Kangsar Run (which I probably DNS anyway). I know a couple of friends joining this event. Wish I can... but no $$$ to fork out to go for a holiday run there. huk huk huk
