Muar Briyani At Kari's Generation
It was last Sunday, after I did 14K at the SCKLM running clinic and it was lunch time.
I had a hankering for traditional Malay food (that I don't cook myself... HAHAHA) and not really keen in going to the one we usually went to, in Bandar Baru Bangi.
So we drove around in Alam Damai, Cheras and came across this restaurant called Kari's Generation. At first glance, we thought it was a Mamak place because of the name but later saw another signboard that it serves Nasi Briyani Muar so we decided to give it a try.
We ordered two biryani kambing for Hubby and Son.Very muttony... Pronounce kambing taste but the gravy was nice.
And I ordered the Briyani ayam (chicken).
Both are priced at RM10.00 per set of rice + chicken/mutton.
Didn't like my chicken much, it was a tad undercooked but the rice was good and so was the mutton's gravy.
For RM10.00 good value lah, I suppose.
And oh! They're having their Buka Puasa promotion too. Buka Puasa buffet priced at RM39.90 for adult and RM19.90for child. Melayu style spread.
Go google them up lah... I forgot to take photo of their banner. Hihihi

Alam Damai, Cheras is just nearby our home but we seldom venture to this place.
Anyway, maybe I can checking out the place, on foot.
There will be a running event in Alam Damai soon!
Registration for Alam Damai 10K which will be held on Nov 20th, 2016 is already open and limited to only 1,500 runners.
Check out the details here.
There's also an Arab restaurant chain in Alam Damai - D'Arab Station, which is located along the same row as Kari's Generation. Quite decent, their dishes.
I loves briyani, must have someone to share with me, if not, can't finish the rice...
ReplyDeleteMore reason to enjoy with friends, right? ;)
DeleteI have eaten here before, and the exact same briyani kambing! Was visiting my friend during CNY and this is pretty much the only place open that isn't Papparich or McD. I thought the food was good...
ReplyDeleteNext time, we can go together lah! :)
DeleteBestnya! I would have chosen kambing.
ReplyDeleteI like lamb but not mutton so don't want to take aby chances. ;)
DeleteThe briyani looks good and that should go well with any curry. I often got confused mamak food sometimes when they served dishes that looked like Malay food. I wonder where exactly mamak food was originated?
ReplyDeletePenang?
